2210 front axle

I was greasing the front steering links and I had taken the pressure off by raising the front with the fel when I noticed that the axle rocked slightly from side to side not from back to front. Is this a problem?

Most all tractors pivot side to side at the frame/front axle mount point.

Should be a grease fitting there also.

thanks. So that grease point is for that swivel point. I am forever pumping grease into it but nothing ever comes out. Where does it go?

nothing ever comes out.

It might be coming out someplace you can't see, like the top or back side.
Feel around or use a small mirror. Your going to want to clean the excess off.
Or you'll find it with your shoe later.

On my 2210, dealer tech said he pumped in over half a tube of grease before any would seep out. Must be quite a grease cavity for that front pivot pin...

I grease mine every 20 hrs and it only takes a few pumps.
