2017 F150

My 2016 f150 has one.

Our F150s downshift in Tow/Haul mode to help us stop...it's not an exhaust brake. Which brings up one weakness with the 3.5EB...it doesn't have anywhere near the engine braking that my 2011 did with the 5.0. Without a true exhaust brake or variable vane turbos it's the size of the motor that drives how much engine braking you have. But it's nothing that turning the gain up a little can't fix.

I would venture to say the F150 has been more involved than any brand or make if truck in the building trades.

I live in a small neighborhood of 44 homes. They are completing the last two now. 3 out of 5 vehicles on the job sites are F150's. Yesterday it was electricians and overhead door people. Last week it was painters. Week before that was drywallers.

I could tell by the very first pic that it is a mall cruiser because the bed was covered;)

The animal control officers for the county here use F-150's(with the bed covered).

Then it pulls loads like this and the one in the background.

I also moved a 20' enclosed car trailer today. It made me feel special because the guy pulls it with a 1 ton chevy with a dmax.

Really like that trailer.....and the truck.

That's why I bought a King Ranch. It's only meant to sit on its throne at the top of the hill at the Ranch, looking down at all the drones working hard. Now, had I paid more, I suspect they would have used steel to make it tougher to actually work, but I only got the sissy package with the snake symbol branded in the leather. It translates to an old Indian hieroglyphic that means "can't do work". Wish I knew that when I bought it.

Glad to see the humor in this thread... too many times it turns ugly.

The 1/2tons didn't meet my needs, softer suspension and Pmetric tires did not give me the towing experience I wanted with our travel trailer. I could have changed to LT tires and improved suspension, but then would not have had the daily driver we wanted... so we have a 2500HD for towing and a Tahoe for daily. Works well for us. I work from home so don't drive the truck that much, my wife has the Tahoe that does what she needs and can use the truck if needed..

I see nothing wrong with having a F150 for daily driving that can also work when needed (hauling and towing).

Yes, I have a bed cover on my truck. I would like to have hard shell canopy, but don't like how it limits view. Bed cover allows me to have some things in the bed out of site.

Believe me... it was difficult. I have had so many Super Duties, I lost count. For years, I drove over 70,000 miles a year. I traded trucks like baseball cards. This past spring, we sold our 10k pound travel trailer, and I decided we'd not be going that big next time, so I wanted comfort and cheaper payments. After six months in my F150Online, I love it. The 3.5L EcoBoost is very fast for a 5,800# truck, plus it pulls my BX and goodies like nothing while giving room in the back seat for my 6'-4" son (15yo) while I sit in front at 6'-5".
My last F350 was tweaked and sounded great. I miss it quite often, but when I look at the reasons I stepped down to a 1/2 ton, it all still makes sense. Unfortunately, the DW has now decided she may not like a smaller floor plan trailer, and we may need to get back into a one ton. Ugh! SHE said she wanted a smaller trailer, too, and I said she'd better be sure. Nope. Now the beds are too small in smaller trailers. Why do I talk to myself... I asked her.

Really like that trailer.....and the truck.

Thanks, the trailer is a Suret-Trac 82''x12, 12k. It is real handy.

I'm not sure if you can tell by those other pics but the truck is green, not black.

This is not a real good pick but you can tell it green better than the others. I can find a pick of where it looks green right now.

Wuss... My wife gets mad cause I call her 150 Platinum a dog taxi. Me, I'm stuck with a lousy, loaded Lariat. I did get the long bed, though... so I can carry all the money to the bank I make when I use my truck for work !!!

Have you given any thought to putting air bags on that F150?....I've got a DMAX 2002 getting really long on the tooth. 235xxx miles. I put air bags on so the non-dually could do dually loads....and it worked, at least for me. I was VERY please how the air bags worked. I saw the same Holiday Presidential parked at a Walmart that I pulled up beside loaded the same way. That F250 it was hooked to, looked like it was begging for relief compared to the DMax...wasn't the truck, it was the air bags. But I don't towing anything even close to it's max any longer. Tow more like what you're doing now. But it strikes me, that air bags would make a difference, like with that tractor or load of dirt.
