The front rotors on a F-150 are slightly larger than a F-250 .
Wondering why is that?

I'm not sure if you can tell by those other pics but the truck is green, not black.

This is not a real good pick but you can tell it green better than the others. I can find a pick of where it looks green right now.
Yeah love the trailer... exactly the size I am looking for... is it a dumper?

That is just the way they made them. The F-250 rotors are thicker and heavier.

Have you given any thought to putting air bags on that F150?....I've got a DMAX 2002 getting really long on the tooth. 235xxx miles. I put air bags on so the non-dually could do dually loads....and it worked, at least for me. I was VERY please how the air bags worked. I saw the same Holiday Presidential parked at a Walmart that I pulled up beside loaded the same way. That F250 it was hooked to, looked like it was begging for relief compared to the DMax...wasn't the truck, it was the air bags. But I don't towing anything even close to it's max any longer. Tow more like what you're doing now. But it strikes me, that air bags would make a difference, like with that tractor or load of dirt.

I never have considered air bags. I use a weight distribution hitch on heavier loads. The truck rides pretty level with it, and handles great. That pic above with the load of wood shows how it rides with the WDH. The jack was just barely off the ground. I was adjusting the hitch and was taking pictures of it setup differently.

If I had a 3/4 or 1 ton and had a gooseneck or 5th wheel I would look into air bags. The springs are pretty soft on these new F-250's, I'm not sure that they don't squat worse than what a F150 would with the same load.

Dump trailer + F150 is very useful. I got a 10k 5x10. It is easy to move around and tow.

We have an F150. Wife uses it as a daily driver and we haul stuff. Routinely tow horse trailer and horses at about a total weight of 7K lbs. Truck handles it no problem. Trailer has brakes of course so stops very well. Could I stop with just the truck? In a pinch, but not a good idea.

We have a 2013 so still have the steel body not the aluminum. Will have to see how well the aluminum stands up before we get the new one. That is many years down the road.

Ive got you covered. I'm testing one now... a 2016. I should have 100k on it by the end of 2018, and then GM's aluminum bodies will be out trying to catch up, but at least there will be many Ford test pigs on the road by then.
Funny how so many think this aluminum thing is new. A friend I work with has a 16 year old Audi that is all aluminum including the frame. It literally looks new. He says the engine and tranny technology sucks and at over 225k on the ticker, he's always fixing it. But, the body, frame, connection points to the frame, etc. are impeccable.

I am surprised GM is not going composite. I guess they did not learn anything from Saturn.
