Buying Advice 2 speed rear PTO

I am in the market for a new tractor. I spend a lot of time splitting firewood with a wonderful old rear PTO driven log splitter a friend made. It runs great at 540 rpm but it sure would be nice to have a tractor with about 1000 rpm rear PTO. That way, I could turn the engine rpm way down & still split wood. Anyone know which of the new tractors have a 2 speed rear PTO?

For new equipment, it looks like 50 PTO HP and above, Deere and MF only.

All Jinma tractors have a 2 speed pto. I have a Jinma 284 with 540/1000. You can also get them with 540/720.

many of the jap models do to.. mind you these are older mofels.. but 3 speed pto on a yanmar is common.. etc.

I am fairly sure that ALL the Bransons have 1000/540 RPM and SOME may have 1,000/720/540.
They are made by Kukje in South Korea.
See the Branson/Century/Zetor forum for specifics.
I have a little 42 HP Kukje (/Century re-brand), class 1 tractor - - works well, seems it will last a long time, etc.

Kukje also paint some of their tractors green and put JD decals on them - FOR JD.
I think they may have made some of the Montanas too.

I really recommend 2 speed pto! I have a kubota b2320 with the 540 and the 960 and i basicaly use the 540 when i need power otherwise i am always on the 960 at around 1400 rpm that give me about 540. I blow snow when its powder snow i cut grass always on 960. With the blower i go to 540 when its heavy snow or when i blow the bank of the snow truck.

I had an old kubota b6000e which had the three speed pto

Came in handy when I ran a pump for a backhoe

My current machine has two speed 540 and 1000

I have tiller so only run 540

My Yanmar F16d has 3 speeds; My dad's Kioti 's (LK3054 and DK 55) both have 540/1000

Thanks for the advice. I am interested in a new tractor about 30 hp. In that size range, I have not found one with a 2 speed rear PTO.

The new Kioti LK 30 (was the LK3054, I think) has 540/1000 PTO standard (per Kioti's web page). As mentioned, my Dad's 3054 has 2 speed PTO and this is also a pretty common tractor on the fairly new/used market.

You may want to check out the LS line of tractors. I think some of them have the option for multi-speed PTO's. My R3039 is only a single speed PTO, but it has a shift gate with multiple speeds on it.

Kubota B2920 (29 hp with 21 pto hp) has two speed rear pto as well as the its siblings the B2620 and B2320 which Stihl22 mentioned

My Kioti CK25 came with 540/1000. It's now the CK27.

Yeah! I just wish they made the bigger HST tractors with multi speed PTO.

Its just that i have never seen a 1000pto speed empliment. ?? can you just run a bush hog normaly rated at 540 and then turn it up to 1000?

IIRC, the Wallenstein chippers say 500-1000 rpm. Finer chips at 1000, but I don't have the power to run it like that for bigger stuff.
