1989 Field Boss....???

Hey all,

SO.. I'm taking delivery of a 1989 Field Boss 31 today. The guy said it was a Iseki Field Boss.
I've done a little research to know White makes a field boss as well, and it looks JUST like this one. Now I'm curious if Iseki made a field boss.? I've searched the Iseki forum here for "Field Boss" and got nothing back.

Its a fairly cheap buy, so I'm not too worried about the tractor, but I do have a bunch of questions I'd like to ask some educated people about these tractors.
Like: down pressure.? 4x4 may not be working?, what size bush hog I can run,..? etc etc..

It was probably sold under White's name. Built under license for White by Iseki, so parts should be reasonably easy to find as Iseki built many different branded models for various North American companies.

I have a 31. No down pressure. I don't think any compact has down pressure. I have a 5' brush hog.

Should I ask away with my question here? or would you guys rather guide me to the correct forum..

I push my clutch in ALL the way, and STILL have a hard time getting it into gear, and when I do, I can feel it start to roll just a BIT. Clutch adjustment? or... new clutch.? It seems like in a car it would be an adjustment.?

Oh, and Power steering.. doesn't feel like its working. That's another thing I have to look at. : (

did I mention I got a pretty good deal.? lol Its getting less and less a good deal.. but I'm hoping to recover.

You likely will get the fastest answers in the Iseki sub-forum, assuming they are the OEM.

Plan on changing all fluids sooner rather than later - coolant/antifreeze and hydraulic fluid are 2 that often get neglected.
