I looked at one of the new 1815 models today at Bearcat Tractor & Equip in Harrisburg PA. That is one sweet little machine. I especially like the wide stance it presents, & seemingly good ground clearance. I notice on the Mahindra site, under attachments, they do not offer a backhoe. Seems to me, to compete with the orange BX series, the green 2200's, or the red 2300's, they would need to offer a hoe. I think they could blow those tractors away, as the MSRP looks competitive for a more rugged built tractor.

Have you looked at the specs? The darn thing doesn't have a PTO.

It has a PTO and a backhoe...just the specs are lacking. We plan to have an 1815 TLB at the World Ag Expo in Tulare this month. The first ones on the west coast will assembled this Saturday if the backhoes arrive as planned. Tractors and loaders are now in stock.

The one I looked at had a PTO.
Thanks Dave for the update on the backhoe. I'm going to follow up on the 1815.

I drove one yesterday for the first time. Suprisingly powerful. It spins the tires easily. Quiet HST. The backhoe is a curved boom type which looks good. The outriggers fold up tight to the unit so it stays narrow when traveling.

The 1815HST with the ML102 lifts 900lbs in the FEL, measured at the pins. I don't think the tractors you mentioned are close to that. The 1815HST also uses a standard Cat 1 three-point. The 1815HST competes better with the smaller B-series Kubota, comparable to the 30HP B7800 in lift capacity, but with a lot less HP of course.
