$130 Subcompact grapple project

I started with the forklift backstop that had for about 5 years. I found the thumb metal in a used tractor yard. They gave them to me for free. The cylinder is from Surplus Center. The most money was spent on the quick attach plate, $78. I already had the hoses but I spent $10 on fittings at a local hydraulics repair shop. I had fun building it and works great.

I built it handle and move fallen trees and brush on my property. That same week I added the quick attach and a tooth bar to the tractor.

Nice project, one that I'd eventually like to accomplish.
LOL, probably have all elements on hand but just missing the time even being retired.

I like it! I already have a new 3/8" thick quick attach plate, some steel but would need to buy the tines.
Then of course there is the matter of the third function remote...lol
The only thing I would add on yours is some more triangle pieces, one for each tine and maybe a bit taller and rounded if you have the capability to round them (torch or plasma cutter)

i plan to add more gussets in the spring. But for now, I have other projects to complete before spring. I do not have a plasma cutting so finding the tines was a lucky break.
