1070 fluid capacity question

I recently completed a full service on my 1070 replacing all the fluids with my go-to full synthetic product of choice, Amsoil. I'm a bit confused as the recommended capacities for the front diff/axle and hydraulic system are no where near what I ended up using. Here is the breakdown of what the service manual says vs. what I actually put in to get it to the correct levels on the dip sticks. To complicate matters even more, tractordata.com specifies a different amount for the front axle which is even more than what I put in

Engine Oil - 5.6q
Actual = 5.6q

Gear lube - 2.25q (manual)
tractordata - 8.5q
Actual = 5.5q

Hydraulic Oil - 5.5gal
Actual = 7gal

Does this sound normal? I've checked it twice (next morning after it cools) now after plowing my drive and they seem to be spot on (dipstick) as per the manual. I obviously don't want to over fill it but I also don't want to be running too low. Anyone else experience similar results? Don't want any premature failures.

Yup, drained both ends and the front diff. Had both vent/dipsticks open as well. That is interesting, it may be a misprint? Not sure as several source including the tech manual that I just bought also states 2.25 quarts.

As for the hydro, very good point. Didn't think about it but that makes total sense. I'll keep an eye on it and correct accordingly. Thanks for the input.

The dipsticks don't lie..

I couldn't/didn't drain and re-fill with the manual specified amount of hydraulic fluid for my JD110 TLB when I serviced the front differential and transmission, either.

Along this line; I question the engine size listed for the 1070 in Tractordata, too. I believe it's a 122.xx cu. in. Yanmar; not the 116.xx listed. Could be wrong - but, my old JD 970 had the 111.xx cu. in. Yanmar and I seem to recall that the 1070's engine was more than 5 cu.in. larger.

Thanks fish. I feel the same way but there was such a variance I didn't want to risk it and figured i'd ask. Think you may be right also on the engine spec. I'll check my manual.
