1025 r backup

A co-worker got a 1025r with the OEM front snowblowers, I think 48in. It has a plug in to override the backup turning off of PTO. It only works sometimes, it has been back to dealer, and dealer had also been out there to work on it but still only works sometimes.
Any one else run into this with a easy fix?
