I bought a brand new DK 4720 SE HST last year and had nothing but problems within the first 3 operating hours.... cavitation, trumpet housing hydraulic leaks and slew of other issues. What a headache. My original dealer was over 3 hours away with the nearest being about 1/12 hrs away and over...
I have two pallet fork frames from Titan with 48” forks. One for John Deere and one with skid steer quick attach. No problems as of yet. I’ve also purchased other 3pt implements from them that work well.
However, they don’t wrap the pallet fork frames prior to shipping and they will usually...
Yes, but it makes the noise standing still or moving when turning the wheel left or right. It’s in the hydraulics. It’s better since they changed out the valve, but still there... just not as much.
Yes. I purchased a new JD 2025R TLB from Ag Pro in Georgia. At the time, I lived in California. It arrived in perfect condition, but later (2yrs) learned they shipped the wrong 3pt hitch lift arms. They sent me the lift arms for the 1025R and that’s why my 3pt hitch wouldn’t go down as far...
I purchased a new DK 4720 Kioti in June and that dealer was about 150 miles away. I didnt give it much thought as I had never had real issues with a brand new tractor and I do all my routine maintenance. Boy, was I in for a surprise.
The new Kioti turned out to be a lemon within the first 6...
😀 yeah, I keep my toys clean after use. I’ll typically use the leaf blower to blow off the dust until I have time to wash them. It’s very dusty here in Filer, ID… dirt is like fine powder. And I’m surrounded by farms.
Well, I brought it to the dealer and they replaced the “hand valve“ in the steering column area, but it didn’t do much to stop the noise. According to the service tech, Kubota said the noise was normal. This was the only L4802 that the dealer has sold, so I don’t have another for comparison...
Yes, quiet and smooth riding. I didn’t want to spend more than 14K, so it was between the Kawasaki Mule and the Can Am Defender... for work around the property. The Can Am had larger wheels and better clearance. Otherwise, I would have chosen the mule as it too has a good size bed and is...
Yeah, I’m going to have to bring it in. I went to the dealer this morning and tried an L3302 which didn’t have this issue and sounded as it should… smooth, no noise. This is frustrating as you’d think the dealer would have noticed this issue as they prepped the unit for sale. Anyway, I’ll...
Just bought a new L4802 and starting to use it. Just turned 4 hours on it and during use it makes a loud rumble sound when turning the steering wheel. At first, I thought this could be normal for this machine, but I’m not so sure. Checking opinions before contacting the dealer. Any thoughts...
Perfect example! I bought a brand new DK4720 in June 2023 and it did the same thing. It also had a cavitation issue in the steering hydraulics. Kioti ignored me and the dealer wasn’t able to fix Either issue. It also developed a hydraulic leak at 5hrs. Got tired of the lies and complete...
I had that chirping sound on a brand new 2023 DK4720SE which developed at about 3hrs on the meter. I never got a response back from Kioti even after they promised to call me. I went to two Kioti service stations… clueless. The original dealer said they replaced an o ring which was causing a...
I have the 2025R. It barely has 18hp on the PTO and it struggles with a 4’ tiller at times. The backhoe isn’t very strong and my old BX backhoe put it to shame. Otherwise, it’s a good machine. I’d go with the LX.
I dropped off the tractor for warranty service involving a number of issues At only 6 hrs on the meter.. I spoke with the service tech today who said the noise in the steering hydraulics was due to a defective O-Ring in the hydraulic pump Which was allowing air to enter the system (cavitation)...
I think you will be just fine with that HP. I’m running a 5 footer with 18hp at the PTO on my JD.
However, i just bought (2wks ago) a DK 4720SE HST and I’ve had nothing but trouble as soon as I unloaded it from my trailer. One thing after another. The first thing I noticed was a coolant...
Has anyone replaced the stock LVA16683 sway adjustment chain with an after market brand? I find this stock adjustment chain on my 2025R difficult to secure with that silly ring. I’d much rather have a turnbuckle with locknut.
I checked this morning and those bolts on your pictures are dry. The leak is below the bolts where the linkage is connected to the trans housing. I was hoping I was wrong and it would be as simple as tightening a bolt. It’s a drip drip. Thanks again.
Ventuarbass, thanks for that. I’ll have to take a closer look. At first glance it appears to be coming from where the linkage enters the transmission As the fluid is dripping down the linkage. Perhaps it’s coming from above it. it would be nice if all these issues were a simple fix, as...
My noise got a little louder and I Just discovered a hydraulic leak on the right side, behind the rear tire where linkage enters the transmission. All this at 6hrs on the meter And very light duty work.
I scheduled a warranty service appointment, but it’s two weeks out. Depending on the...
I’m still wondering if this sound is resonating from a vibration somewhere or if it is actually hydraulic related.
I haven’t started the tractor today, but suspect it only happens when it reaches operating temperature… after it warms up.
Thanks for the information, Venturabrass. Was it you that said you have a manual? If so, where did you purchase it? I would presume the manual for the DK 4510SE HST should be good for the DK 4720SE HST. THANKS
Thanks Robin. Someone mentioned that the oil change didn’t solve the noise issue. So that’s off the table for now. Waiting to hear from Kioti before I make the 3 hr drive to the dealer. Typical dealer responses these days indicate they don’t have a clue or aren’t interested in fixing a...
I just purchased this DK 4720 last week with .08 hrs. When I called the dealer about my jerky 3pt hitch, he said it could be air in the system… only one hour on the meter. We’ll, how did the air get there. Cavitation crossed my mind when this noise developed in the steering area as air in...
I discovered the same issue today on my new DK 4720 with only 3 hrs on the meter... and after running it for about an hour. Used the tractor today for the first time. Any word from your dealer?
My 4720SE is brand new. I started using it today for the first time. When it reached the 3hr mark, I heard the same chirping noise. I looked all over and it is coming from the steering wheel box somewhere. I was hoping someone would have figured this out by now. I’ll call my dealer on...
I would check the specs on you rotary cutter for required PTO HP. Off the top of my head,I would assume you’d be OK running a 6’ rotary cutter as I run a 5 dotter on my JD’s 18hp PTO.
You should go for the CK3510. If not now, then later… when you can afford it. If you get a smaller tractor, you will, more than likely, regret it later. I had the Bobcat CT35 (a Kioti) back in 2009 and loved it. After selling it and moving to another property, I bought a smaller 25hp JD. I...
Just picked up a DK4720SE and mine are on the inside too. I was wiping down the inside of the wheel and as the rag hit the air valve, I heard air escape... they never tightened the valve. It was loose And all fluids were at minimum.
My biggest complaint so far is the location of the oil fill...
I purchased a 2020 JD 2025R, with backhoe, in mid 2020. At the time I had moved to a 2 1/2 acre parcel and had just sold my CT35 bobcat, as I thought I wouldn’t need it anymore. The JD was doing great, as I was only using the loader and backhoe most of the time. I then moved to 5ac in Idaho...
Thanks. Unfortunately, the 2025R has only 18PTO HP. Most 5 footers require more HP. According to my JDDealer, I can get by with the 55 inch 655 Frontier. So, it’s either spend $4100 for the 655 or go for a 4 footer which I don’t really want For less money.
It’s been a while since I’ve posted here and lots of changes since then. However, I’m now running a 2020 JD 2025R which I bought after moving and selling everything off And down sizing... mistake. However, I’m now looking for a roto tiller. I priced the JD 655 at $4100 which should serve my...
I just picket up some of these. It's nice to be able to reposition these D-Rings as needed. They are made by PJ trailer, but this place carries something similar.

Hi Pane056. I just installed a 3rd function valve kit for my grapple (valve, hoses and joystick control). But there are other methods. You can either use your existing rear remotes and use the remote lever to open close; you can install a diverter valve kit or install a third function valve...
Hi KOua. You asked about feathering... The closing speed of the jaws is very smooth with my setup. No need for additional feathering. I know $750 is pricy. After pricing things out part by part, there wasn't much difference in building it myself vs. buying the kit. IslandTractor makes a...
Installation of electrical and hydraulics is now complete. Not enough time for this kind of stuff. Time to test it on the grapple tomorrow. I had to cut off the loader joystick "grip" and grind off part of the joystick at the bottom of the knurling (visible after removing the grip). The...
I just installed the 3rd function valve and hydraulics for my grapple. I still have to install the Scorpion joystick button handle and connect the wires (simple), but I did test for flow and the valve works. Here are some pics. I'll post more when I get the handle connected to the joystick and...
OK, so I just installed the 3rd function valve and hydraulics for my new grapple. I still have to install the Scorpion joystick button handle and connect the wires (simple), but I did test for flow and the valve works. Here are some pics. I'll post more when I get the handle connected to the...
Some people have asked about the Skid Steer Quick Attach pins and the fit at the base plate. Here is a link with photos of my new NAI grapple and the fit. I was very happy with the fit.
http://www.tractorbynet.com/forums/attachments/250863-nai-60-grapple-delivered-today-2.html
Jeff, Attached are the photos of the SSQA pins. I was happy to see that they are tight and extend beyond the bottom of attachment plate by at least 3/4" on each side. The attachement plate is an impressive 1/2". The gussets are 3/8'; the front tube that the tines connect too is 2 3/4"...
NAI 60"... Right off the truck... delivered today. The truck dropped it off at the driveway and I took it from there. Now to work on the 3rd function valve. Anxious to put this thing to work.
Guys, after kicking around several brands and different models for the last week or so... and after considering lots of recommendations, I'm going to bite the bullet and go for the Everlast PowerArc 300. More than I need for the moment, but I'll grow into it. I'm impressed with their customer...
For a newbie like me who knows squat about welding, what would you guys recommend that I buy for misc. repairs and perhaps building a few implements... stick, Tig, Mig??? I wouldn't want a top of the line welder, but nothing too cheap either. Thanks
I just ordered the North American Implement (old Gator) 60" light duty single cylinder grapple. I spoke with Stella at NAI (direct) who gave me a great price of $929. The shipping was $256 to a business in California or residential delivery for $311. Anyway, I choose residential for a total...
Can anyone recommend a reputable place to buy an North American Implement Grapple? I've checked their web site and there is little information on where to buy their equipment. I've narrowed my choices down to either NAI or a Wildcat. Thanks :)
Anyone here using a grapple with rear remotes rather than a 3rd function valve on a CT2__? If so, how long are your hoses? I've seen the 3rd function valve advertised for over $800 bucks and can't justify the expense for right now. :)
Hi guys. I'm in the market for a grapple. palletforks.com has some reasonable prices, but I've seen some posts with issues that concern me. One post was an issue with the skid steer "quick attach" and the other had to do with one of the cylinders not closing the top portion of the grapple. I...
Some of the guys on the Bobcat forum posted entries re: leaks in faulty Hydraulic Oil Coolers. These leaks are in the Bobcat CT HST series which are essentially same as the Kioti CK HST series. Have any of you CK guys experienced this problem?
With the few scrapes amd scratches I have on my CT235, I can't see any primer under the paint. A recent battery acid spill also removed the paint from the front lower grill whcih peeled away... also with no sign of any primer.
The primer is obvious on my Kubota. Does anyone know about the...
I have a CT235 and I use it on a hillside. I'm suprised Bobcat did not ship this unit with a no maintenance battery. Battery acid all over the lower grill and battery support plate. It ate through the paint on the lower grill and thebattery support plate. It's easy enough to remove the...
Just picked up this new 2010 diesel dually longbed with extended cab and leather/ bells & whistles for $37,769 OTD IN Salina, Kansas at Long-McArthuer Ford. Best deal I found so far. Not even broken in yet and I'm geting 16.2 mpg
Has anyone had experience with this specific trailer. I love everything about it. The only concern I have is that it is so low to the ground... about 12" at the rear. That makes for a lot of dragging in and out of gas stations with dips at the driveways.
Guys,
Just bought a new Bush Hog Heavy Duty 72" box blade with floating rear tailgate. It weighs 640lbs and I bought it mostly for rear ballast. I know Bobcat calls for 880lbs ballast for max lift, but this will have to do for now.
BACKHOE HYDRAULIC QUESTION
Does anyone have a backhoe attached to a CK35,30 or 25 using the standard selectable A - B rear remote hydraulic connections? I have a Bobcat CT235 (CK35) and my dealer told me that this is the hydraulic configuration for the standard Bobcat (Rhino) backhoe. He also...
BACKHOE HYDRAULIC QUESTION
Does anyone have a backhoe attached to a CT235, 230 or 225 using the standard selectable A - B rear remote hydraulic connections? My dealer told me that this is the hydraulic configuration for the standard Bobcat (Rhino) backhoe. He also said it's good for Top &...
A friend told me that Pat's Cat 1 model has too much play when the hooks are lifted up to connect with the standard 7/8" Cat 1 pins; not a tight fit. Has anyone experianced this? Are bushings required?
Hi Guys. I know that Kiote makes the new Bobcat CUT's (with modifications), but does anyone know what company makes the Bobcat 7TB backhoe? Is it Kiote?
I just ordered the Bobcat CT235 and I'm just doing some homework before ordering the backhoe. Thanks
