    105A caution light

I have a 105A. A couple of times I have started it to warm it up. I noticed the yellow caution light will come on. Yellow light with the exclamation mark. I also noticed that the engine will rev up on its own. It will run about 500 rpm ( I believe) at idle but it will go up 1000 rpm on its own...

Yeah. Good point about the right door glass. I guess this could solve half of the problem.

    Tractor Guard

Yeah. It’s a cover to keep from breaking glass I guess. I watched the video and looks like there is a strap that goes around and then I assume some suction cups? Not sure if that would stay on in a rough field.

    Tractor Guard

I was surfing the web and saw this, has anyone ever used this? Looks like it could potentially be good but not sure about the mounting. If someone has used it I’m Interested in the good or bad. https://usfarminnovations.com/tractor-guard/

    Farmall® A or C Series? Or, ...?

I am by no means an expert on any of this so it’s worth what you pay for it. I had a 60hp Kubota tractor and had no issues. Looked at getting a bigger one and was considering the M-111. Talked to the dealer and they recommend the Case when you step up to over 100HP tractor. Basically his...

    Plow dilemma

Well I took my time but finally got it done. Some of the bolts just broke right off. Most I had to just cut off. I found a wrench that would fit those that where close together but could only turn about 1/8 of a turn [emoji849] so that was slow going. I’m just glad it’s over.

Roger that on the swear words. I think I owe Mr Massey and Mr Furgeson an apology after the last round.

    Plow dilemma

Doubt any of them are. Just trying to get the new ones on. Have some from bolts agri supply. My open end wrench didn’t quite fit. Guess I’ll have to go search for a thinner wrench.

    Plow dilemma

Surprisingly I am able to loosen a lot of the bolts. Those might be quite hard due to their location. But once I get them loose they just spin. So I have to cut them.

    Plow dilemma

I guess the only option is to cut more and order more bolts. Was hoping to avoid that.

    Plow dilemma

The other one is holding the land side.. or slide? that the right term? Didn’t want to cut that one off if I didn’t have to. I guess I’ll have to run to Home Depot or lowes. Can’t quite get on in there. See if they have a wrench narrow enough to fit in there. They are real close to touching

    Plow dilemma

So I have this old (new to me) plow. Wanting to replace shins on it. There are 2 bolts and the lower one is in the picture below. It’s the one in back of course. About the only way to get them off will be to cut them, not a huge problem…. But.. how would y’all get it back on. It’s going to be...

    Farmall 120C

I’m trying to figure out how to raise and lower my 3 point arms. I don’t have the controls on the back of the tractor. With the quick raise forward I can only fully raise the 3 point to lower it. If it’s only half way raised it will not lower the bars I have to go full up. I’m guessing with the...

    Farmall 120C

I guess with the air ride seats the take it out or don’t put it in. Seems odd. I guess the only thing that might drive me crazy is the location of the battery on the A models.

    Farmall 120C

I will have to look at it when I get it back. I just remember backing into the garage turning the wheel to back it in and using the brake and seeing the light on the dash. The green tractor light up. I was more focused on things around me. Mine has the lever position for the 3 point. Has a...

    Farmall 120C

Yeah. I was kind of wondering about on paved roads in a sharp turn. I’ll have to mess with it when it comes back. Maybe it’s an on and auto. The book is in the garage and with this heat I can wait a couple hours ha. I did lean that I do not have an adjustment knob for lowering the 3 point...

LouNY. I guess I should clarify. It’s probably when I press the brakes. I just noticed it when I was backing into the shop and I was turning the wheels and braking. So you and Hay Dude are probably correct. It just comes on when I’m pressing the brakes. I guess that’s in the automatic selection...

So far it has been pretty nice. Quieter. The air ride seat it pretty awesome. So far I have not been able to do a lot with it other than drive around the desert that is north Texas right now and some light loader work. The loader is quite fast! Have to figure out this MFD. I notice when I slow...

    Learn me about draft control

Okay. Lots of info being thrown around. Think I got the basic gist of the levers now. The book really does not have a lot of info. Just arrows and names of levers and buttons.

    Learn me about draft control

So basically the first one will find whatever depth it likes. As far down as it will go and up to where the draft control lever is set. It will just dig at whatever depth to not bog the tractor down (basically) The second will be set to a depth with the position lever, say I wanted 4 inches...

    Learn me about draft control

Ha. Well my Kubota probably fit that description of not enough weight etc, my fault not the tractors. That’s why I have the larger tractor. It’s a 3 bottom plow convertible to a 4 bottom. The part of north Texas I’m in has the clay type soil so I figure the 3 bottom with a bigger tractor will...

    Learn me about draft control

So, what I’m getting is if I want to plow say 4 inches deep I set it where the levers are set to basically the same position to keep the plow at the same depth, keeps it from going up and down. If I use the other setting and I put the position lever forward it will put the plow in a float...

    Learn me about draft control

I just bought a Case 105A upgraded from a Kubota that did not have this. In the operators manual it mentioned 2 settings. One is where you push the position lever all the way forward and set the implement depth with the draft control lever. The other is where you set the position of the...

    Farmall 120C

So I noticed my brakes do not feel the same as my Kubota I just got rid of. My Kubota felt more like car brakes. On this tractor I seem to have to push the brakes almost all the way to the floor to stop the tractor. They seem a lot more mushier. Is that common?

    Farmall 120C

The 105A arrived today. That Kubota was nice but it is sure nice to have a tractor I can stretch my legs in since I’m tall. The air ride seat, I can see quite the difference. No more bouncing off the bottom sounding like I was bombed when I hit a hole.

    Farmall 120C

Well. The 105A will be at my place Friday. I couldn’t justify the hefty price difference for the 120C. I do have the air ride seat though[emoji106]. Anyone know the difference between the models that end in 5 and the models that end in 0 ? I see the 105A has 112 hp, the 120C has 117hp. The 105A...

    Farmall 120C

So it looks like they have a 105A in stock. Who knows when they will get any others. The price for the 120C is getting way up there. Almost 22,000 more than what they can sell this for. I really like the creature comforts of the C but even a 100 or 110C will be 10-15000 more. Not sure if it’s...

Thanks all. Went and sat in a New Holland powemaster. I hear they are made on the same line just painted a different color. Seems pretty well laid out. Looked at an A model Case also, it didn’t seem too shabby either. The only things that seemed like it might be a little issue is some service...

I’m looking to upgrade to a bigger tractor from my 60HP Kubota. Anyone here have a newer Case 120C or something comparable in Case. I’m not against any other brands, the dealer I have used sells Case and Kubota and fairly happy with the dealer so that’s where I’m starting. I hear that the Case...
