    Intimidator EV Lithium upgrade

I,too, used lithium batteries from Big Battery to replace the worn-out lead acid batteries in my Polaris Ranger EV. Well worth it for many reasons. I did find that the included SOC (state of charge) meter was worthless, with lithium batteries one needs a "coulomb counter" type meter for useful...

    The day the music died.

One way to find new music that is real is to tune into various streaming radio stations if you have the internet bandwidth. It doesn't take all that much. I'm an old guy who likes music that is made by talented people and is from the heart and soul, just like the music of our favorites from ye...

    Windows 11

I always keep my backup devices disconnected from power or data sources except when I'm actually using them. It's not just being hacked that I'm concerned about, but also power surges and malfunction of the host computers that might destroy the data or device. Rather unlikely, I know, but what's...

Battery based electric vehicles of today and tomorrow.

It seems to me the best second car for any battery EV owner would be a Dodge Charger. Just plug the EV into the Charger, right? Maybe this post belongs in the Groan catagory...

    Bicycle inner tubes.

I've used (US) dollar bills as a boot for a sliced tire on a friend's bike. Haven't seen him in years, he still has my money! With my first set of sew-up tires, I took a little dirt shortcut. Picked up dozens of little thorns, so had to replace the tube. The thought of removing all the stitches...

Removing / unscrewing a broken off pvc male adaptor

I've read that acetone will dissolve PVC, but have no experience with that. It might also dissolve some other soft part of the hydrant, though. What about gluing a PVC pipe inside of the stuck one to enable you to turn it out? That might compound the problem. Free advice, worth every penny...

    Tow Behind Mowers

I have a Swisher Country Cut 44" that I tow behind my Polaris Ranger EV. Real sweet combo. The mower can withstand the hidden rocks and stumps hidden by the tall weeds on the 7 acres we bought last year. The land had not been maintained for a while due to the previous owner's poor health. The...

    Ethanol gas evidence

I use 100-octane ultra-low lead avgas in my small engines. Ethanol-free! I get it from a nearby county airport. The equipment runs great on it, and at the end of the season I just run the tank dry. Things start right up at the beginning of the next season. I make sure there are no sensors or...

    New fuel can feature

I have one of the No Spill brand gas cans, and it is even better than the old style. Easy to use, fill and does not spill, like the name says. Just remove the cap, insert the spout into filler neck and squeeze the valve. I'm hooked! There is a screen of sorts inside, but it does not inhibit...

    Ethanol free gas?

The web site Ethanol-free gas stations in the U.S. and Canada claims to list every non-ethanol gas station in the USA and Canada. I buy aviation gas at a local small airport to use in my small engines. It contains a small amount of lead, so it will foul sensors or catalysts. I ran a trash pump...
