My solution to yellow jackets isn't quite so elegant. I wait until it gets nearly dark outside so they return to their nest then put an old shop rag over the end of a stick and stuff it into the hole they dug. I then pour a cup full of diesel on the rag and light it. It's not pretty but it works.

I would suggest using a NEMA 3R or 4 rated enclosure sized to fit your components. They aren't cheap, but they are waterproof. Most electrical supply houses stock them.

Check all of those fuel hoses for a leak. My B7500 had a very small split in the hose between the lift pump and injector pump which caused it to suck air into the injectors. Your B2650 has a bit different fuel line setup, but a leak anywhere in those hoses can cause problems.

Also to add to strantor's comment ... almost all VFD drives will allow motor speeds approaching twice the motor's rated rpm. This will allow you can run a higher gear reduction to get more torque at the same spindle rpm with a higher motor rpm.

My trusty Square D motor data calculator says that a 1 hp motor at 115 volts should draw 16 amps. That seems a bit high to me also. Remember that going to a 3 phase motor will reduce that and most of the inverters convert the 115v input to 230 volts out. That is what I did with my drill press...

I bought one of those about 10 years ago, but I don't think it was quite that expensive at the time. I carry it in my truck because I don't trust the cheap OEM screw jacks to change a tire on the side of the road. It is also handy in combination with my floor jack for rotating tires.
