I think the BX has hydraulic brakes but not 100% positive. If treadle pedal is not returning you should also here the engine and HST straining while applying the brake since you would be driving and braking at the same time.

Going slow yes you can tow a tractor that way. Bigger concern is can you stop it since most of a tractors weight is on the rear axle. Another concern isTractor tires are not balanced and they can start to bounce at some unknown speed. The hopping can get pretty violent quickly.

You won’t hurt the hydraulic system by going to relief pressure but depending on how you are using the thumb you might bend something from excessive loading.

If hydrostatic drive both wheels are driven so an air pocket would stop both wheels from turning.

When you have equipment that is 50 to 100 ft or more in width the GPS guidance is nice since when dusty you frequently can’t see the ends of the implement. Down side is a $10 sensor shuts down a million dollar machine and planting or harvest stops.

You will only get the implement flow of 6.7 GPM to run the PHD. Will operate just turn a little slower which usually is not a problem on a PHD.

I have good luck using stabil on stored equipment. If starting you need to run them long enough to get good and warmed up to help remove any condensation build up in the oil. I disconnect the battery and charge once a month on vehicle like motorcycle that will not be used during the winter.

The gauge wheels in the picture appear to be bolt together rims. If that is true they shouldn’t be to hateful to dismount and remount new tires. Not sure what is used to seal the rim halves together though
