No, I am NOT going to try to take down a dead 100' Hickory tree!

Put a speed square on top of a level. Sight along the speed square, and back up until you align it with the top of the tree. Measure the distance of where you are standing to the tree and add 5 feet (distance to your eye) FWIW, I'll start the guessing game - I'll guess 85 feet ;)

PTO Shaft to Gearbox Bolts Keep Breaking!

First I would use a longer bolt (so no threads in the collar), use a lock washer and tighten it tight. Maybe wrap the nut end with duct tape so you can retrieve it if it fails. If that fails, see if a 14mm bolt will fit in there snugly.

    Kubota buy

It's a BX2230 (edited to correct model #) at 1,700 hours, it's a teenager Turf tires work better in snow than you would think Tractor and mower are worth $6,000 - $6,500 Tractor/mower/loader are worth $8,000 - $9,500 YMMV

When does a tractor become 'Vintage'

I would say anything from the 70s is vintage, and maybe even the 80s.

Make sure you check the oil in the gearbox. I wouldn't get within 6 feet of that screw splitter - literally!

final leveling of lawn - drag harrow, landscape rake, other?

If I was going to use just one, it would be a drag harrow. That said, t doesn't take much use to justify a $180 purchase. I think that straw rake would do a nice job of removing the trash, and preparing the seedbed after it has been leveled.

final leveling of lawn - drag harrow, landscape rake, other?

I like the idea of a drag harow for leveling, or make something like this.

Tow behind version for your lawn tractor.

I think you may have 2 issues, Leveling the area and Smoothing the area. Here is a super cheap implement for smoothing the area/seedbed prep, and your sand and woods debris.

Anyone else waiting to see if tractors without the EPA stuff are coming?

The mid 70s smog control Detroit gave is is a good example of that! Today's automobile engines are way cleaner, with scads more horsepower.

Anyone else waiting to see if tractors without the EPA stuff are coming?

Dumb, Dirty and Dull Manufacturing went overseas, and that's the cheapest place for it. We are able to compete domestically in Advanced Manufacturing, but those companies are already struggling to find skilled talent. I'd rather see an upskilling of America (i.e. technical colleges) than...

There may be an executive order, but no manufacturer in their right mind is going to backtrack, only to face the same standards or lawsuits in the future. I haven't heard of any changes in standards in the countries we export to. Dare to Dream though.

    Fire from neighbor's land

A pole building is the cheapest amount it would take to replace the storage function of xxx square feet. The replacement value of the trailer would be much higher.

    Fire from neighbor's land

I'll say it again. The trailer was providing xxx square feet of storage. The minimum value would be the cost of the same xxx square feet pole building (unless the trailer was only minimally damaged)
