    A little miffed

This is where a big piece of corporate retail america is disappearing. Who is the owner? When you have car dealerships buying tractor dealerships, being managed by joe slob its predestined to become ugly. In a car dealer scenario, you have the techs working for a shop foreman who reports to the...

    STIHL Zero-Turn

Paying someone else to cut it may a better deal that I never looked into. My friend has someone to cut his house yard, about 2.5 acres. 75 dollars for cut, trim and blow, our lawn season averages 26 cuts 75 x 26=1950 over 5 years =9750.

    Help with low hydraulic power

I dont think its as simple as resetting a relief valve. The manifold valve (creep) controls the hydraulic flow (page 34) to wheels, loader and aux circuits. A tiny bit of trash caught up in there would certainly goof things up. I would pay special attention to the flow control cartridge.

    Help with low hydraulic power

From what I can see here, did anyone check the creep valve (manifold) might have some junk in it or a bad 2 way valve or the high/low switch (page 3-24). I dont see the interconnect for the high/low switch but reading the owners manual, dont really understand why they incorporated one. I’d...

    8n pto issues

I dont understand. On an 8n, 1500 rpm is ~ 540 pto rpm’s. An overrunning clutch is a really good idea with a mower. A 5 foot brush mower will have enough inertia to “push” the tractor whenever the clutch is disengaged.

I disagree, there is always travel time and maintenance time. Whether you load and unload vs roading, it still takes time. Lubing and fueling still take time. Presents a whole different set of problems, doesnt it? Getting the equipment to the dealer or waiting on a mechanic to show. Then waiting on non-stocked parts to arrive and hoping the diagnosis was good the first time around.

They also had things to maintain. A large yard, a large vegetable garden, etc. People today are so busy "multitasking" they don't have time for lawn care and gardening. They want to be carefree and able to go do stuff like take their dog and laptop to the park

trying to price a trailer before the auction

Yep, some of these buyers act clueless to market pricing. Last large equipment auction I went to, dealerships were bidding stupid money on low budget attachments (elcheapo skid steer mowers, fork frames, etc) Maybe that bubble will burst now too

If that's an option, sure why not. We used to have 3. of these outfitted as rollbacks with wheel lifts. Not the fastest thing on the road but the aisin 6 speed (IMO) made good use of the torque curve. We were moving cars in the city so the cab over with shorter turning radius sure helped.

That’s not necessarily a “free” service either. Locally, that would involve a “spot” price arrangement. I much prefer to own my tank and ”pre-buy” a year at a time. I also have the ability to refill my rv and bbq tanks from my 500 gallon tank.
