Kioti ck3510
Ok, long story short picked up a fully hydraulic tilt HD-10 post driver off a buddy really cheap he had it on the front of a skid loader and worked fine. I put it on the front of my kioti ck3510se and ran hoses from my rear remotes and hooked it up. Removed the travel lock pin, Both tilt cylinders work fine but it won’t pick the head up the lines stand up like it’s dead headed but no action. The slide moves fine so no obstruction there. I had this problem with an old hd-8 one time and put the return line right back to the tank and fixed everything. I tried this. I took the quick connect out and ran return right to tank and same problem the tilts work but no lift on the head. I messed around and thought maybe spool was bad took both lines off on that valve and when I moved handle both ports shot out oil which I thought was weird so I hooked the lines to the valve next to it and moved valve the head only went up about 2-3’ feet and stopped and when I stroked valve in opposite direction it dropped down with little force. He claimes it runs fine with a skid loader. I trust him. But what the heck is going on.

Did you install that valve in the picture or did it come on the driver?

Nope that’s the way it came from the factory I didn’t change anything and neither did my buddy.

Ok so my question is was his Skid Steer open center Hydraulics or closed center? I am thinking that valve may be set up for closed center.

I am not sure and I know he won’t know either. but it’s long gone he sold it that’s how I got all his attachments. So how do we convert or confirm ? Do I need to change the whole valve system out ?

And after reading everything I can find I’m almost sure my tractor is an open center system so what do we do?

Since you have the return line opening into the sump fill, start the tractor and engage the remote. If fluid flows into the sump without using the driver valve then the valve is open center. If not then it is closed center and you will have to convert it to open center.

I already read the manual none of those valves look like mine. And shaver customer service is terrible been waiting on phone call for days. Yep when hydraulics is on I’m getting flow back to tank with without operating any valves.

Well, next step might be to identify valve then.
