    X730 BATTERY ACCESS

Yup, I thought I'd have to drop the Quick Disconnect and Hydraulic Lines Good to know, that saved me some investigative time. Not a good story though, I have a similar story involving a vehicle on a charger and something went wrong, wife was making those big homemade Pretzels and I called out...

    X730 BATTERY ACCESS

Just went through the Operator's Manual and you're right, back in the "Service Miscellaneous" section there's a procedure to remove it HOWEVER, looks like the hood needs to be in the full Upright Position before pulling forward and off the retaining bushing, I'll have a go of it tomorrow, anyone...

    X730 BATTERY ACCESS

Just purchased a used 2021 x730 in August with 46 hours, it took the place of my '93 425, a true workhorse. Anyway, I purchased the X730 after learning my 47" Blower and all the mounting hardware could be used except for the main Driveshaft coming up from the Mid-PTO. I liked the 425, a simple...

    X730 - Where is this located/installed

Chevy, Thanks for the response, probably will also leave it out too, it mysteriously appeared in the driveway after I ran it over. Thanks again.. One note, I miss the split brakes on my 425 to brake one rear wheel or the other, that came-in handy when blowing.

    X730 - Where is this located/installed

Owner of a used X730, found this AIR INTAKE, UPPER X7 HOOD, PN: M166252 (attached) in the driveway after blowing and based on the Parts Catalog pretty sketchy where it's installed or how it's held in place, noticed some melting on the plastic piece around what appears to be a mounting hole of...

Any Lochinvar Techs out there ?

I'm good to go, the SCREW, FLAT HEAD SOCKET CAP, M4 X 16, SST inserts into a stem welded on the rear wall of the Heat Exchanges (attached PIC) so no tapping necessary. Was able to extract old screw and found a replacement. I ended up purchasing a 3/16 X 1-1/2 Stainless Steel Fender Washer.

Any Lochinvar Techs out there ?

YES Dtodd, thanks, planned on SST so wouldn't have dissimilar metals with the SST M4 Machine screw but a better characterization, a "Fender Washer". I agree Carl_NH, I'll be looking for a SST Fender Washer for sure. I'll know better the exact diameter after I gingerly remove it today, slow and...

Any Lochinvar Techs out there ?

Yup several times + look at their Illustrated Parts Listing, etc., etc., et. In my working years I was involved with DOD Logistics and Provisioning. Today I received two bits of information, one step at a time, slow and steady Lochinvar PN: 100162912 MSC2181 RETAINER, BAFFLE, INSULATION (OUT...

Any Lochinvar Techs out there ?

Sorry, I know, HVAC question on TBN, hey where else can you find knowledgeable people in all sorts of professional trades. So, doing my 2-year maintenance on my '14 KBN-81 Boiler and all set to replace the Divider Plate Insulating Baffle in the rear of the Heat Exchanger, can't seem to identify...

    Hydraulics 101 - Connections

Thanks for Technical response and word of Caution, just what I needed, the facts. Yes, I put everything together, used the new rubber o rings and added the "90-degree elbows". I held off until I received some assurance that I didn't do anything drastically wrong that would cause a failure. I...
