the part is 250 bec. it's a solid line with fittings on both ends that are welded to the line. It's one continuous piece, and JD charges whatever they feel like apparently!! Fitting is pehaps a bad term.

It's part #11, near where bolt #12 is located. It's at the line to "fitting" where bolt #12 passes through.

I'll remove those bolt #12, remove the o-ring #1, and remove as much fluid as possible (if there is any in the line).

Wow, just realized it's been 20 - TWENTY - years since I last posted! I applied some JB weld and it held ok. Always some leaking but not much. It's leaking worse now, and figure since I have the hydraulic fluid drained down some, it might be a good time to try brazing. I'd try a simple torch with MAPP gas.

I'm pretty sure Redrocker meant real silver solder. Typically you need less heat than brass which is nice for small/thin stuff. A welding supply should have it. If not a place that sells jewelry making supplies. It comes in several melting point temps. And it uses it's own kind of flux.
Right. Silver solder is the right stuff. You can use it along with a copper patch if you want. It does take some practice and the copper needs to be shiny clean.. The "easy" type SS takes less heat. I use SS a lot for various repairs but don't know if a propane/air torch gets hot enough.

This will work. Many on here are confusing "solder" with "brazing". That line is probably SS, so this is what you want. I use 15% Staysilv or Silfoss regularly for copper brasing, or Safety-Silv 50 for dissimilar metals (copper/stainless).

The Amazon link is $15 per 18" stick. I'm brazing a metal hydraulic line. First time brazing.

The JB Weld held for 20 years ... Clean it up, and mix up another batch!
