I got 1/3rd of my summer fuel just as prices were rising, and I'm due for another 100 gallons in June. We're at around $5.14 for off road diesel here in Maryland.

I usually pump the rest of the winter diesel into the house oil tank from my 100 gallon skid tank and refill with summer blend, not this year, running out the rest of the winter blend and hoping price goes down! Wishful thinking no doubt!

The local grocery chain offers fuel saver so I bought on road fuel. It was $5.999 and I had about $1.22 in fuel saver. They limit you to 20 gallons so I filled up four 5 gallon cans. It was about $94.

$4.99 for on road pump diesel locally, down from a high of $5.49 around a month ago. Not much red diesel available in my area unless you have it delivered in bulk. No off road available at local stores that I am aware of.

When prices first increased I went and filled up both tractors. One is sucking fumes and the other has about 1/4 tank. I was hoping I could ride out the roller coaster and things would settle back to normal. But prices have only continued to increase. On road is 5.50. I have to drive for off road so the savings is negligible. I have been saving an old heating oil tank to use as a fuel station, maybe it is time...

$94 seems like one 20 gallon can?

4.74 here. Having all tractors filled directly from DixieLand delivery truck.
My biggest tractor will cost $900+ alone to fill.

The only place that sells off road around me are crooks. Last week it was $5.17 plus sales tax unless you have an agriculture exemption. I’ve been burning road fuel in my equipment for $4.99.

Same here.

What I find odd... gas was holding below $4 and on-road diesel was over $5. Then gas shot up to $4.20 and diesel dropped below $5.

Its crazy. No rhyme or reason for what fuel costs anymore. Here's what the prices were just 5 months ago in my area, with diesel cheaper than gasoline:

Diesel price 12-19-25.jpg

Now gas is $4.80 a gallon. Diesel jumped to $6.17 a gallon! So gas went up by about $2 a gallon but diesel doubled in price and more - just about $3.50 a gallon increase! Why????

I'm using my diesel pickups and tractors as little as possible these days.
