I have a 3810D that I believe has a blown head gasket. Called a couple of different places to find a head gasket kit, and although they were helpful they asked I verify exactly what engine I have. My understanding is it should be (generically) 3T84T. However if you google around a little I see gasket kits for the 3T84 (non-turbo) and a ton of other numbers or variations of 3T84T/3T84 (3T-84T, etc..).

Will the gasket kit for the 3T84 work for the turbo model? I know it won't come with the turbo gaskets but I can pull that off in one piece hopefully and use the gaskets that touch the motor.

When I have this apart, any other recommendations for things I need to service? I'm going to inspect the turbo as well, I assume it's never been serviced.

Thanks

Adding in a pic of the engine.
Forgot to mention I'm going to replace the hoses as well. And inspect the water pump.

Welcome!

Have you looked for the engine data plate?

All the best, Peter

Unless it's under the engine I don't see it. Where might it be on this engine?
I made a comment about it in my post, it could be buried under paint or oil.

The engine data plate is likely between the oil fill port and the starter, towards the bottom of the engine. It may be covered in paint.

You need to take the head to a machine shop and have it checked/magnafluxed for cracks and warpage. It may need to be shaved down some. Definitely have it checked out since it’ll be off the tractor.
Hopefully the engine block isn’t warped. If it is, the engine will need to come out and completely stripped down and taken to a machine shop to have it “decked.”

For parts, I recommend the following businesses:

Brand M Parts in Iowa Park, Texas. Awesome folks to do business with!

Fredricks Equipment in Hartselle, Alabama. (256) 751-3555. Ask for Danny Speakman. He is great to deal with.

Southern Farm Equipment in Irvington, Alabama.

Southern Global Tractor Parts in Wiggins, Mississippi.

Thanks. I'll take a look at that area and see if I can get the number.
I'm going to have it checked, along with three other heads. Need heads checked on a 70' F250 360, 65 Triumph Spitfire and this tractor. sigh.

The engine plate would look something like this . . .

Like Travis stated, it's just around the starter and near the oil fill.
If the tractor was repainted, the plate would end up like this,
