JIC PLUG AND CAP SET

I have a 1995 Kubota L2950 30 hp tractor. I would like to get a few plugs and caps. I am thinking the lines to cap and plug will be 1/4" and 3/8" does that sound right? I see most all kits have much larger caps and plugs in them also, I cannot see me ever needing the large ones.

First question, am I right about my hose sizes mainly being 1/4 and 3/8 sizes?
Second question, should I just get some of each of those two sizes or get a kit that has other sizes as well?
Third and last question, does anyone have a kit that they would recommend me getting for this size tractor?

Look up “Kenny’s Bolt On Hooks”. Under hydraulic parts he has caps and plugs. The ones on my JD wouldn’t stay in place so I got a set from Kenny. My end loader had color coded ones and I had a bunch of colored zip ties I attached to each hose to keep them straight.

Surplus Center is a good option for these. Caps, plugs, dust covers etc. As info they size hydraulics by a number. A number 4 hose is 1/4", number 6 is 3/8", number 8 is 1/2" and so on.

What are you trying to cap off? I assume you're talking about connections on the loader?

The most common size will be -6 and -8 ( 3/8 and 1/2).

You might use some -4 (1/4) for steering lines but I'm not familiar with your model.

There might also be some -10 for feed lines.

I have seen some plug/ cap sets of one specific size and a variety, but the variety sets will usually have some sized you probably won't need.
