People sell big red 250 in good condition for $4000 to $5000 Ca in my region it translate to $3000 to $3700 usd, which is almost as much as they sold new back then with inflation taken per account.
You mean ATC 250R? or you meant the 350X. That was the one considered insane or the sport utility ATC 250SX w/ shaft drive.I've had Yamaha, Kawasaki and Honda 3 wheelers. The Honda 250X was an Isane 3 wheeler and it would simply dig holes and go nuts when ever you throttled it. They're ok but you can't ride a side hill or best to stay off any hill. What I didn't like was you can't straddle anything and they roll easy. I was excited to get my 1st quad and would never look back.
I'll take one of each, please. And thank you.
can you imagine a brand new one ? like these things are 40 years old and still running, what is made today that will run in 40 years ??I'll take one of each, please. And thank you.
Nothing. Everything is overly complicated electronically. Which is why I've reverted to buying air/oil-cooled Honda motorcycles and ATV's.can you imagine a brand new one ? like these things are 40 years old and still running, what is made today that will run in 40 years ??
Sorry, Yes the 250R. Pretty wild when it could get traction. You mean ATC 250R? or you meant the 350X. That was the one considered insane or the sport utility ATC 250SX w/ shaft drive.
The 250X was a sport four wheeler from the 90's
Nice brochure.
yeah same time line, 85 is certainly the most common years. My friend has a 86, the 87 model where delivered in 88 but there was very few purchased, I don't think I ever saw one. Honda had already stopped the production before the consent decree came in affect, they fulfilled the order that was filed in late 1986 but that was it.Nice brochure.
I had the last generation of the ATC250SX ('85), but it did not look like that. Mine had full racks, front and rear, and weighed over 400#. Similar to the Big Red (ATC250ES), but not the same. All red steel fuel tank, which I upgraded to aftermarket plastic after I wrecked.
After the consent decree, Honda stopped selling ATCs in US, but what about Canada? I never saw any ATCs of model year newer than '86, but supposedly the 3-wheelers were still sold here up to the '87 model. In '85 the 4-wheeler version of Honda's utility quad was already available. I had an '86 TRX250 FourTrax for a short time.
Honda dominated, of course. I have seen a Yamaha Tri-Z or 2, plus at least one Kawasaki Tecate, but never any Suzukis. Suzy did make some 3-wheelers, named ALT125 and ALT185.yeah same time line, 85 is certainly the most common years. 2000 Rancher 350
2022 XR650L
2021 CRF250F
Not three-wheeler related, but in line with this thought, also drop one each of a pristine 1999-2006 era GMC Silverado and Yukon in my driveway.
Interesting, I’ve saw quite a few Yamaha only a few Suzukis (lots of the kids one the 50cc’s or what ever they where) I’ve never saw a KawasakiHonda dominated, of course. Kawasaki has interesting police trike history, which explains why they offered a switchable differential for pavement use.
