So tell us what's going on or if the story is here already link it please. Sounds like you have every right to be upset.

My problems of late with my Mahindra is the very long wait time on parts. Is that part of your issues also?

And THAT, ladies & gentlemen, boys & girls, is why I buy John Deere stuff: Dealer is just 8 miles away, and says "Hello, Bill" when I walk in the door. Not big stuff, just 2 old front mowers, a 30 year old tractor, a 70 year old square baler, and a 25 year old round baler.

How much did you REALLY save by buying an Indian lemon ? It's not just the machinery, it's the maintenance, service, & repair process.

Some times it’s better to get rid of the problem and move on. I’ve had a Kubota and currently a John Deere. Without a doubt you pay a premium but at times it’s worth it.

So what? Just because he got a bad dealer, does it make for an entire brand failure? It doesn't.

My Branson dealer came to my house twice after I bought the tractor from him just to check on things and see if everything was going well. Guess what? It's not a premium brand dealer. It's what clueless people like to call "lesser brand".

The very same dealer that the first day I went to his place and checked on what tractors he had, took the time during that same day to come to my house at nearly dinner time to check the two tractors I had to trade in and make a deal. Needless to say, we made a deal on the spot.

This was in 2017 and I'm still waiting for the NH, Kubota and Landini/Iseki dealers to call me back like they said they would. Heck, the guy at the Kubota dealer didn't even bother lift his rear end of the desk and show what they had.

Didn't bother with JD dealer as they don't bother to stock compact tractors either. The last great compact line they had were the Goldoni made tractors, then rebranded to JD.

By the way, JD has an entire line made in India and considering Kubota bought Escorts limited in India, they might add more Indian made tractors to their line up.

I am not disappointed in my Mahindra as far as operation etc. , just the long delay in getting parts. I am more of a hobby farm and have a second tractor so it does not affect me too much. Would be a problem if I needed it for real production.

You missed my point. COMPLETELY.

Well, to be fair, it does sound like the tractor is a piece of sh*t :D Don't blame the man for being mad.
Okay, I'm sorry Ptsg. It's probably his lack of knowledge and the dealers ineptness that kept it down for 11 out 12 mos last year
Either way it a bad way to go.

Any brand can and will have lemons, yes even JD. I didn't say it couldn't happen. I'm not blaming the OP at all as I didn't even spoke directly to the OP, I just spoke to the other poster.

Its often out of the dealer's control but they sold it and have an obligation.
Parts availability seems to be a problem regardless of brand, a large JD dealer may have some stock.
I waited 4 months for a new engine for a five-year-old Jeep and gave up and traded it in. That's Pitiful

The days of dealers having a couple good mechanics with good trouble shooting skills beyond hooking up a computer and changing parts are becoming rare. Parts changers!
Intermittent problems with computer module-controlled machines can be hard to locate the issue,
I'm an old guy that trusts to buy American brands, but they are now all built in pieces from everywhere.

My new Ram 5500 assembled in Mexico. Fingers crossed.
Mahindra has been around for a long time now. They can't be all that bad to still be in business. Parts availability is an overall problem these days.

Only buying American made machinery is almost impossible but buying from JD, a large U.S. Company may be safer.

Stellantis, My new truck isn't an American made Dodge truck anymore.

It's all a gamble these days. We pay a lot of money and deserve better service after the sale.

You may need to start a Thread asking some people with Mahindra experience. The dealer done did you Dirty!
You have the right to be angry!

After four months of waiting for an engine for my jeep I wanted to drive through the dealer's glass showroom.
Make the evening News!

My wife and I were going to take a week exploring the Ablactations, camping and relaxing with our Jeep. That plan with reservations made was blown all to hell.

BlackOps didn't have his tractor for a whole year and still doesn't. That's a lot of inconvenience. He paid good money.
Any brand can have ongoing issues, Search TBN

Any idea of what is preventing the start? What has been tried by the dealer? Max 25 is a Mitsubishi built machine isn’t it?

sorry been busy with medical stuff and ice storm and snow - down trees and branches etc. trying keep warm with the woodstove too.

it is such a long story and there seemed to be a couple of things suspected and then found and supposedly fixed.

last time it turned out to be a ground wire that had issues and he never said where or what the problem was re: maybe his tech messed up or some other reason. too hard to find i guess without major breakdown so he put on a new ground instead. i thought it was the solenoid becuase it kind of acted that way years ago i put a new one in. but the price doubled and then you buy it and can;t return electrical parts for it not to be the problem is a costly trial and error.

ran good all summer into the early winter. then notta.

looks like i am going to have to move 10-15 ricks of firewood by hand up a hill and 75' away or so. had 6 major ops including open heart surgery and total knee replacement etc so the tractor would have been so nice.

I’ll stay out of Black Ops issues, as he and I have had some very good exchanges on helping him out with some of his problems in the past.
But in regards to the comment on Indian manufacturing and getting what you pay for comments, you might want to check some of your facts. The Mahindra Max’s were manufactured by MHI (Japan) and assembled in Tennessee. The loaders and backhoes made by KMW in Kansas, and the mower decks by Ameriquip in Wisconsin. The motors are also used in Cat mini ex, forklifts etc, At the time I bought mine, the specs far out performed the bx and the 1025r, for less money and it came with a 3 year, overall ,5year power train warranty for about the same cost. Have +1300 hrs and am very pleased. For the most part the dealers I’ve dealt with are good.

I understand brand loyalty, but to bash other brands that you have no experience with or knowledge (ie facts) , i dont get it.

Do you have anybody to help you out? I’ve got a couple of people that would bring a tractor over and move wood up to my house for me. Good luck!

Your first post stated, "down for 11 months out of 12". This post states "ran good all summer". Which is it???

It is a Mitsubishi (Japanese) built tractor. All brands of tractors have problems at times. Sounds more like possible a dealer problem. 🤷‍♂️
