Years ago I bought a car (truck, tractor) battery jump box similar to one pictured from Harbor Freight. It worked OK but many years ago so I need to replace it.
Ones I see now have all these features I don't need like USB port, digital display, etc. and most reviews aren't good. I'm looking for simple with lots of cranking power...ones I see I'm sure are over-rated.
An analog meter would be nice to see if it's charged. A light on it may be ok...but I don't need/want an air compressor . Something around $150 or less (?).
Real experience with one means a lot. It's been cold here and two tractors are on battery tenders but won't quite crank over.
Thanks.

Open it up and get a replacement battery. I've done those on units uears ago when having to use at garden tractor repair shop.

My Noco pack works great as long as the engine actually is capable of starting. It can’t keep a non operational engine spinning over as long as the bigger and heavier lead acid batteries can.

I got this one as a Christmas gift for my BIL. As it turns out after some research, it came in at number two right behind a $350 model of a different brand. It beats the famous Noco hands down. It's supposed to be able to start a 10-cylinder diesel. It looked so good in tests, I bought myself one too. It comes with a case so it can be kept in a vehicle. It is very heavy, but compact and comes with a USB charger and cables.

After watching the Project Farm reviews, i bought a Gooloo from Amazon.

It replaced my much heavier Lead Acid jump pack, and actually works better.

I got the same one for Christmas. Haven't had to use it on my truck (diesel), but it spun the SxS with a 0% battery like crazy. And it recharges super fast.

I used mine on my little Kenbota. It's only a 2-cyl diesel but it ran the glow plugs and spun that like a lawnmower with no plug. (y)

I've bought two of the "Jump-N-Carry JNCXFE X-Force Extreme 12V Dual Battery Jump Starter". Seems they are no long in production, but you can buy them through 3rd parties. Made in USA, very heavy duty, no problem starting diesels that are totally dead. Only features are high quality, an onboard trickle charger, a volt meter, and a 12v cigarette outlet (very handy for those times when you need a 12v air compressor!).

Very heavy though, sucks to lug it around places. They (used to at least) make a single battery version which would be much more portable.

I have a few Noco charges on different batteries and they seem high quality, but I have never tried any of the boosters.

The NOCO Boost-X GBX155 unit rated #1 in the Project Farms head-to-head durability review.
4250A, great for jumping big diesel engines too.

I was surprised at the tests they did.
Worth while to watch and draw your conclusions if 2nd, 3rd or 4th place contenders would meet your needs.
