Easier way to move trailers with loader

/ Easier way to move trailers with loader #21
I got mine years ago from them. I like the new style, they changed it from what they did offer. I have to tilt mine up to see the ball. It works but sometimes makes it difficult to get the ball into the hitch.

I made one like that. I used a 1/4” thick skid steer plate and I bent it moving a loaded trailer. I should have used a 1/2” plate instead.

After reading of people unable to see the trailer ball while moving trailers, I thought to post these pictures. FYI. I don't have trouble moving trailers and by tilting the bucket can usually see the ball. Moving is quick and easy.

I didn't make this thing but did heavily reinforce it after it bent under heavy trailers. I got it in Kentucky with a trade and these are not my welds. It just an extra long bucket clamp arrangement welded to a long style receiver tube. By using the long style hitch and ball, the extra length makes it easier to see except when the trailer is real low to the ground. Then I have to crook my neck or lean forward.

The extra-long makes it work and I can usually hook up in seconds. Surely others have made better so if you have a pic, post it.

Great for putting a smile in your bucket too.

The point of my using a small tractor is that it won't lift enough to bend the bucket. I've had this arrangement for 20 years and lifted many trailers and no bend yet. Think stuff out, don't overload your equipment and it's all good.

May your good luck continue.

I first saw something similar back in the eighties. My Friends dad put a hitch on the front of his truck so he could back a boat down the side of house without hitting the fence. It was a long tight fit. I have a hitch plate for my SS and that is the best, as you can pivot the trailer axle without moving it forward or reverse. Much more controllable than the front of a loader.

I just bought a new to me B2301 w/ LA434 loader to replace my B7510 w/LA302 loader. I welded a 2”x2”x3/8” angle between the loader arms with a lug for a ball. It fits behind the ssqa and doesn’t interfere at all. I had one on my B7510 as well (I made a kubota style qh for that bucket.) first two pics are the LA302 with the QH l built. Second two pics are the LA434 on the B2301

I don’t know why tbn won’t let me add the other two pics in the other comment so here they are.
Not here either.
How large are the pics? there is a 2mb limit.

It might be the format. Look at the picture properties. Ensure they are jpeg format.
On topic. A front end loader may be easier than a bumper hitch but for the ultimate in trailer moving control get a hitch on a skid steer. That's the ultimate control.
