Bought 8 new tires getting installed to day 4 for my 2500 sierra that I'm selling or trading in soon 4 for my wife's telluride kept with the cooper brand getting installed today. To my disappointment cooper stopped manufacturing at3 load range e for my 2500 definitely were the best tires I've ever owned hopefully these new tires are similar to the at3 tire I previously praised. Which were great for winter driving and using to get to various slick sections of my properties where 4wd is required needing to haul something bigger than sxs or ATVs can transport. Not to mention better tread life than I was expecting.
So wife and I got new tires today I settled for cooper discoverer stronghold A/T load range E black walls out of course, on my Sierra 2500. Supposedly they are better than the cooper at3s previously on truck and continuously claim they were the best tires I ever had. Anyways whoever the new owner of this truck is I hope they were as good as my old cooper tires. She got more highway friendly coopers for her awd car.

I'd appreciate it if you post your opinion after a bit. I too am going to have to change to the Strongholds after years with the at3's. Been running Coopers since the 80's

Getting rid of truck sooner than later cuz I have a new one on order. So I probably won't be much help nor do I want to be super cheap and get junk tires for that truck. Funny thing family members I haven't talked to in ages all of a sudden are like my best buds. 😂 And want that truck. I should've asked more I guess oh well in my life I've gotten a lot of great deals so for some reason I feel almost stubbornly obligated to pay it forward by letting most things go for a song.

2015 was my last set of Coopers, I had been running the Wintermaster studded tires for many years. When I got my 2015 RAM 1500 they didn't have the Wintermaster studded and set me up with a different tread pattern and stud pattern. They were the worst snow tires I had run in many years, and Cooper never responded to my emails or messages. Mid season I put on my first set of Nokian Hakkapelitta studded snows, that is all I've run for winter tires since then. For summer tires I just look for a mid priced reasonable looking mild traction tire, no strictly highway nor any of the super mudder types.

I'm kind kind of haphazardly looking for winter tires on Toyota 16" rims for my winter beater car. Summer comes, I just swap entire tire already on rim out. Found out winter tires on a front wheel drive cars make a huge difference kind of to my surprise. Anyways in my state I don't think studded tires are legal though.

I've just purchased a second set of rims for my pickup, now I'll need to get the tpms sensors then order new Studded LT3 tires for the winter. The truck has 30,000 on the factory OEM tires so I'll be getting some better tires in the spring for next summer, unless I find some nice summers on the used market. My last two sets of tires have been "used" tires with 90% of tread left for less then half price.

Just my opinion, but I think studs are good for one purpose only - actual ice, or super hard-packed snow that's like ice. Anything else, they do nothing positive, and will tend to reduce traction. I would bet most people drive under conditions where studs provide a positive benefit is well under 5%. This means that you pay extra for worse traction in 95% of situations - snow, slush, wet, dry.

The Blizzack DM-V2 are non-studdable, and don't need to be. They work awesome in all conditions.

The Haka LT3 are studdable, but I didn't get them studded and they have been fantastic - every bit as good as the Blizzaks.

Tpms sensor light actually not on wouldn't make it a winter beater to nice for me, my dash usually looks like a lit up Xmas tree on my old "winter beaters" Tpms, abs, check engine light etc it's also why I own so much black electrical tape. In case some are wondering, No my 2500 sierra isn't a winter beater nor will my new truck be.

I bought a scuffle hoe or "hula hoe" (which, contrary to popular belief is NOT a Hawaiian call girl). Have seen these things advertised for years, but never needed one. Now I have some flower beds to weed, so thought I would try it. My findings: works as advertised.

My dad was a gardener and had all the tools. We had one of those and he called it a Dutch Hoe.
