I managed to spray 1 and 1/4 cans of Pam on the underside of the Z-turn deck. Gave it a good coating. The hornets weren't happy, but not stinging. I let their nest have it with raid hornet/wasp killer anyway. Will finish up with the new blades tomorrow, then cut the grass again. The other set is out being sharpened.

Good Evening Frits,
Shoulder continues to improve and the muscle burn felt really good. Able to do push ups again, progress
Glad to hear, I haven’t been able to pushups for at least a month and a half. One day I got down to do them and my right shoulder was killing me. I finally went to an orthopedic doctor and he gave me a shot of cortisone. It’s much better but I still don’t think I can do pushups yet. I always did at least 30 in the morning and hoping for better days soon.
Glad hear things are working out for you 🙏

Skunk Baxter played guitar for the Doobies, and Steely Dan before that. Quite the interesting guy.

Yes, a smart guy. I like him a lot, very interesting to listen to some of his technical discussions.

My wife said she watched someone do 30 pushups, and asked if I could do that. I said sure, I could watch someone do 60.

Good (Wednesday) morning. Overnight Low of 8.6C and it's presently 16.3C, clear & calm. There was 1.5mm in the gauge @0900... the clamps are still there. ;)
Wag, thanks for letting me borrow your clamps...I put them right back where I found them. 😁
Ah HA!!! (y)

Yesterday arvo I decided to give myself a haircut, then went into town to the hardware shop. Not to buy any new clamps but to order a pair of collapsible saw horses (on sale) and, whilst there, a pair of specialised LED light globes.

Today is 'into town' day for groceries.

That's about it, take care all.

after supper went out and put on more trex boards, I miscounted, will need another small box of clips. this morning I cut a piece of trex on the wrong side, cut out what was to be kept, going around a post, but should be able to salvage it by turning it the other direction for a post cutout on the other end.
Now to decide what to do about my TV antenna pole that is in the way, Put a hole in the deck and leave it there, or move it. I like the antenna there, as I can go out a window onto the back roof to work on the antenna wiring. Also should have made deck2 longer to not waste so much trex.

Drinking first cup of coffee. 54° with fog this morning. Heading to 81° with mostly cloudy skies. Sassy looks sharp with her grooming yesterday. Was mostly a conserve energy day after that. Plan to get front grass cut today.
Yesterday's Sunrise with fire smoke for color.

Everyone stay safe and well.

Good Morning All.
Ron, I hope everyone up there is staying indoors and/or wearing N95 masks. I would take my PAPR mask home if I had to deal with this.

This weekend heading over to Long Island with our friends, we are planning to see the Doobie Brothers at Jones Beach.
I hope they sound as great as they did at the Woodlands Pavillion some years ago. Some great musicians.

Low of 57 now 61 .25 in of rain so far

Nice picture of sassy 😁

Holly passed out yesterday not sure here nurse and I got her up ok now. Eye doctor visit more shots needed in one eye for macular degeneration other eye still ok.

Prayers for all our Country
So sorry and prayers my friend. This is tough.

But that's the 'mysterious' point. They were in plain sight. I would have looked at them several times without seeing them during the initial search(s).

The only thing that I can think of is that they were very new, to me, 'screw-down' type clamps that were replacing some older 'squeeze-grip' type, so my mind was specifically looking for a squeeze-grip type clamp... mentally rejecting anything that didn't fit what I was looking for.

I laughed when the 'lost' clamps practically jumped off of the hook on the shed's wall.

I'm still chuckling.
At work, we have stuff in so many places, it is impossible to keep it in my memory. So I have my student workers look for something, I'll say "look through all the drawers and get a mental inventory, that way you can help me find stuff." Only 1 of them is better than me at remembering.

Went to see the Doobie Brothers at a local dinner theater many years ago. Surprised they are still preforming.
They can still rock it. Rockin down the highway!

We just celebrated my mom's 96th BD. We had some roast/rice/gravy/green beans/faro/asparagus, then Red velvet cake with cream cheese icing from Nothing Bundt Cakes store. Really good.

My friend and Pastor found out yesterday his brother died in a bicycling accident. He left a wife and 3 teenage sons.

Work is good, making slow progress on projects. Sent off for a Wire EDM quote to see about replacing our broken (software) machine.

Son got a tick on him, first we've ever seen on our place since the invasion of fire ants. Guess I need to shred.

Prayers for our team, our nation, and peace in ****** and Ukraine.

Good Morning,
Ct, 63 to start going to 82. Looks to be another banner day.

Mostly, yes pizza party went very well , lots of good conversations. Kathleen said after the party, everyone there was old. And then I reminded her that everyone there was in their 70’s, except for our sister in law who is 80 😉 We are also old 😉 But a good time had by all 🙏

Swim lessons for the kiddos this afternoon, probably won’t be many more sessions left. The boys go back to school on August 27 th. I usually close the pool up by the 3rd weekend in September. So it’s getting towards the end of the season. I enjoyed watching the kids have fun, but really don’t like picking up all the toys after everyone leaves 😉

Plans for today, go for a 3 mile walk early and then head to possibly a new park with my radio gear. I can’t imagine sitting out in a park during the winter trying to send Morse code with my fingers freezing 😂

This weekend heading over to Long Island with our friends, we are planning to see the Doobie Brothers at Jones Beach.

We just lost power here, have no idea why 🥲.

Hope all have a blessed and safe day 🙏
Just don’t understand all these folks getting older !!!!

Poured first cup of coffee. 62° with partly cloudy skies this morning. Heading to 82° with afternoon thunderstorm. PT is helping my ankle. I am half way into my 16 visits. Got back field grass cut yesterday. Back to PT today. No other plans yet.

good morning all
some unexpected light showers out now but they will clear out, cloudy and mid 80s today.
all I have planned for today is dropping car off at local garage to get the rear shocks put on.

Buppies hope you had a better night and a good day today

Good Morning,
Ct, 64 to start going to 78. Looks to be a cloudy and cooler day. This morning at 9am I have to report to Quest Diagnostics for a drug test. But I get paid for going so I guess it’s not that bad. Anyone driving commercially and actively working can get selected randomly for this test. I’m sure Bill and even Paul and Buppies now about this.

Swim lessons went well but Opa is getting tired of picking up toys and noodles all over the pool area after the lesson is over 😉 Only 3 lessons left so I’m kind of happy about that😂

Yesterday I activated US-7533 Larkin Trail in Southbury, Ct and was did bery well, made 20 contacts in under an hour. Might try again later today after the drug test , possibly this afternoon.

Well I guess I’ll get back to my coffee and newspaper , hope all have a great day 🙏

Good morning, the low is 61 and going up to 81°F. Wind E9 mph. 30% chance of showers.

Scott, about 15 years ago I put my foot down and said NO to more P tests. I was told that if I didn't do the P test then I couldn't go to the 'states anymore. Fine, I'll just stay in Ontario. No more hassle at the border coming or going. No more border brokers to put up with. No more idiots in trucks with summer tires on snow covered roads trying to get down the road and taking up both lanes. What are the negatives here? There were none.
I ran Northwestern Ontario and took the winters off. Win, win for me.

Today I will put the blades back on the mower and cut the grass.

Time for breakfast, have a safe day all

Good morning TBN!!!
62 this morning and still wet. May not make it out of the 60s again today.

Worked on the spindle yesterday and it went very smoothly...until I was pressing the top bearing in. Gave it one more "tap" on the press. Broke an ear off. Another is on order. I was a very unhappy camper. Live and learn I guess. Worst part is that I was aware of the possibility and took extra care with assembly. Oh well. To wet to mow anyways.
Spent the rest of the day cleaning up the shop.

Time for a second cup
Everyone have a great and safe day!!!

Happy, I know you aren't happy about that cracking sound for sure.

yesterday while at Costco, this shirt, for some reason caught my eye.
I have plenty of winter shirts but my heavy duty LL bean chamois shirts are finally getting
pretty ragged around the edges.
this is made by Weatherproof, a long standing brand in Vietnam that makes very good clothing.
So what made me not resist it?
ten bucks.
9.99 for a nice super soft flannel shirt
like finding a 5 dollar burger again... ;)
