I know nothing about the model other than a loader was an option. You may be able to locate one at a tractor wrecking yard for that model at a reasonable price. If not there are after market manufacturers. I have had a loader by Koyker which was really nice but there are others such as Woods. Figure on paying probably $6000 for a new after market loader and the hassle of installing it. TractorData.com Kubota L3400 tractor information

I have a L3700 SU which is basically the same tractor. It comes with a 463 loader and I have seen a few for sale on CL and marketplace over the years. The 3PH is jerky when trying to feather it.. I wish it wasn't . Overall the tractor is very solid and well built. No electronic or DPF BS to worry about. I bought mine new..Have about 400 hours on it now and has been trouble free outside of some self inflicted wounds.

Pretty sure the frame is still the same and the newer LA524, 525, and LA 526 should still work with the L3400. If not there are a coouple of after market ones that should fit (and lift more).

By 2007, the real bad Jerky hitch should have been taken care of... problem is if this tractor sat on a dealer's lot for a year or more, it could actually be 2006. It's not a problem but it's less desirable.

There are great tractors... is it 4x4? Gear or HST?? Price?

My L3700 is something like a 2012 and still has the jerky 3ph.

Do yourself a favor and stop looking at this one. It would be different if you Didn’t want a loader.
Find a complete tractor w a loader.

I had an L3200 and it was a good tractor. The 3PH didn't operate smoothly, but it wasn't a handicap with the RFM, blade, landscape rake, etc that I used. I'd pass as arrow suggests. You'd really need some luck finding a loader (and getting it installed).

I have a L3400, bought new in 2009. True, the 3pt is sometimes a little 'jerky'. But, that really hasn't been a major complaint on my part, i.e. no big deal. I have no knowlege about the 'fuel problem' mentioned, as I've never had one with my L3400. No complaints at all with mine, FWIW.

Does anyone know which kubotas had the quarter inching 3pt as opposed to position control?

I used my 2004 L3430 for 10 years and 1K hours before trading up. It was a great tractor and I got every penny it cost new, back in trade. Yeah, the 3pt was a bit of a pain, but I got used to it. No fuel system issues though.

That L3400 looks like a good deal, but as others have said, if you really need a tractor with a loader, it will likely cost more to add one than buying a tractor with a FEL already attached.

Do you need the four implements that come with the L3400? If not, you could sell the ones you don't need to offset the cost of adding a loader.

How much work do you do that requires a FEL? They are certainly handy for a variety of day to day tasks, but if you could rent a tractor with FEL to do occasional loader work, that L3400 would be a good choice.

Just my 2 cents.

Try Westendorf Manufacturing for an FFL, I purchased one for an old L4200 I purchased a few years back, it included all mounting brackets, hoses, etc.

My B2620 had quarter inching, the BXxx80 series does also. The Bxx01 that replaced the Bxx20 series has position control. The Bxx30 series, which was replaced by the LX series, had position control also. Except I believe there was a B or LX series SU model that didn't(I just looked it up, it was the B3350su that was quarter inching) . It gets confusing.

I think the only models that don't have position control now are the BX

I bought my first tractor new, without a loader. When time came that I needed a loader, I bought a Woods and had it installed. It was close to $6k at that time, but it was a great loader and lifted a lot. I was very happy with doing that.
