Damn, I thought I did well with 15 minutes and only 5 or so choice words...
I have given thought to a quick hitch type setup, but for the amount of times I'd use it, 2 or 3 times a year, I'll put money in the swear jar. Incoming flail mower isn't compatible either.

Got my bush mower hooked up in record time. Like 10 minutes total.

That's a record for me.
What do you mean by bush mower ?
I have a 6 foot Woods Dixie Cutter, 3 point hookup and it usually seems to take me about 10 minutes to hook it up. Haven’t used it since last year but hopefully in the near future the ground will dry up enough to use it without leaving to many tracks.

It was my second time hooking it up iirc. The shaft lined right up first try.

The first time I did it took a long time, and almost lost my salvation on that one.

It's a 5' LS brush mower.

I ran out of 4 letter words to use, so I bought a second tractor and leave the brush hog attached. The wife actually suggested it since she was sick of all the profanity.
🤣😂😅🤣😂😅😂

You mean if I do that I may be able to get another tractor too?

One thing that made it a pain was the turnbuckles, or whatever they are called had painted threads that made turning them diiffcult. So I unthreaded them then greased them up and threaded them all the way to the top. Now they turn with ease.

I can hook up the brush cutter in 1 to 2 minutes, just like any other attachment.

All it takes is to back up to the implement till the hooks slide under the balls on the lower pins, lift the 3 pt and it's latched. Then I hook up the PTO shaft and finally the top link.

Features that really helps the process:
- Euro hooks/lower link hooks for sure
- Telescopic stabilizers
- Ability to put the PTO in Neutral so the shaft can be spun by hand easily
- Hydraulic top link.

I have ''telescopic' 3point arms, it helps. More you do it quicker it becomes. I lined myself up as best as I can, then I put my bucket down so I can creep forward or backwards using the bucket without going back on the tractor. I save quite a bit of time that way. For me what take the longest is to go where I store my attachment to drop them off or picking them up, then to properly adjust them and grease them but the whole deal still takes some time, how much I don't.

1-2 minutes seems very fast have you ever actually tried timing it start to finish ?
Noticed your cutter has no rear wheel I suppose that could help to make it slightly easier to hook up.
I also have euro hooks and hydraulic top link, very rarely have any trouble hooking up the PTO , mine is the push button type which at least for me is much easier than the sliding collar type on my snowblower.

I've sold my Woods rotary cutter (brush hog), but I don't think hookup ever took me longer than 1 minute with the quick hitch, or maybe 2-3 minutes before I changed over to QH. Are you guys taking a lunch break in between backing up to the implement and plugging the driveshaft onto the PTO?!?

Heck, I'd bet I've done it in less than 1 minute, 9 times out of 10.

Yes I have indeed timed it and wasn't even rushing it. I actually thought it was more like 3 to 4 minutes.

Mine is a collar, I don't mind either style.

Rear wheels on brush cutters is a big no over here. The brush cutters are built with skids and meant to just drag on the ground. A rear wheel would be destroyed in no time.
