I don’t like things that are an assembly of small parts bolted together, but try it.
Thats not a lot of money, but I bet they take it back if it doesn’t work.

I have something similar and it’s less parts and welded steel

Yeah, I couldn't even buy the steel for that price.

Looks like someone found the limit, of one of them. There are many others to choose from though. I could weld this back up...

I tried something like that when I first bought my land. It worked OK, but it was never great. Most of the time, you had to get off the tractor to get it to grip the log, and even then, it would fall off and you had to do it all over again. Eventually I just wrapped the logs with a chain and dragged everything to the burn pile until I bought a grapple.

Broke taking them out of the box?? The paint isn't even worn off! Wow!

If you moving a few logs it might be workable. I have tongs and they worked ok for rounds but not for lifting logs because it required lifting close to the balance point.

Getting on an off the tractor gets old really quick.

Even cheap grapple is a better way to go. Mine was $1000 but they are now about $1200

If you're just dragging a few logs, I'd suggest making one of these pipe grabs like Smokeydog's version and using some decent chain. Front-End Loader - Danuser Intimdator

I not sure about those but you might check out small wood lot tools Timber Talons. Don’t have to get on or off the tractor to hook up or release.
