Echo 501 #2 cleaned and ready to test.

In the rain it looks like. SMH

Less then 2 mins to use this Oregon K095 bar. Now to see if oils good. Appears it is lined up just like K216

K095 oils great no adjustments needed for that.

Wasn’t the upper left av plastic being stripped out. 359 2

Some CFS put a limiter fastener in it.
🤦‍♂️

Put one on right in and all good. Trade in 359.

Took on trade a OE 346 running parts saw. Lot of stuff been taken off for other saws.

A past owner ran 2 long of fasteners for lower handle.

Heat gun , flat blade, razor then flapper did it. Just want to make it a better redneck repair.

Some info I put together from Joe dyno. Just your avg work saws that last forever, nothing extreme done.

Echo 501 4910, Husky 550, Stihl 261 all woods ported by Joe and checked on dyno. Sheets below.

PHO but both tanks filled up and weighed by Joe. 550 13lbs 5.9oz, 261 12lbs 6.5oz, 501 4910 11lbs 14.7oz

Then figure in cost of each to begin with. IMO why alot of folks going the echo route.

More info I had researched last week in my group with porters.
Leaving dyno numbers out of this because they dont always tell the tell in the cuts.

Muffler modded echo 501 4910 will see gains of 18% 20% 22% give or take from it in cut times.

Add woods ported port work with that you can see another 20% 23% 25% gain in cut times.

I have several 50cc pro saws, including the 4910, 261 and the 550. I will choose my 4910 any day over the other two when I grab one of them. When I am cutting wood I usually take 3 saws with me back on the tractor, my Husky 562, the 4910, and the 2511T.

All of them still stock? No muffler mods or ported?

Can I ask why because if all stock the 550 261 eat the 4910 501 as them come and both the 261 550 smooth due to coil spring antivibe used. If no muffler modding done.

Is it the lighter weight like I am seeing as used even when compared to my NE 346 too? Plus cut right with the NE 346 too with muffler mods.

18" 325 full both

550 MKII weighs way more then 346 or the OE 550 I owned too.

Throwing this OE 346 on the shelf till I get in the mood. Was told a running saw that was used for parts for others in series.

Someone hack ported the exhaust and base. Wasnt going to use the 42mm anyways.

Was wanting to use for a tester saw for fun for different aftermarket topends out for these now.

Sometimes I just shake my head at my DA self. 🤦

Going over my parts I got coming and the OE 346 I got here for project tester. For aftermarket cylinders in this series some day.

I just realized I forgot to put a top handle on my list of things to get. 🤣

I found OEM tank, recoil, clutch cover, cylinder cover already and heading my way.

Handle 503909301 537301701

So making sure running the numbers, seems 345 346 350 351 353 all used the same handle. So that will make this easy for sure. 😎
