I have a problem with my L 39 Kubota. After giving it some pretty hard use tearing down a building addition and using the FEL to load out dumpsters with large pieces of concrete my tractor began to have warning buzzer going off. The front loader control valve even started leaking fluid at the hose connections. I have an L39 Shop Manual and the only mention of a buzzer in that is one contained in the Electronic Instrument Panel (Intellipad). I have gone through diagnostics on that device and found no error codes.
At any rate when I was finished and loading out the buzzing became almost constant, scary really; I was reluctant to load it on my trailer. I am now afraid to use it; might cause severe damage. The L39 has a spark arrester muffler, not a Diesel Particulate Filter, so I don't think it is a model needing regeneration. Has anybody out there heard or dealt with this?

I don't think the sub compact tractors are meant to be used as bulldozers. It would have been cheaper in the long run to hire someone with a skid steer or rent one.
At this point I would have your problems diagnosed by your local Kubota dealer.

could it be a piece of debris got in something moving and making a noise, have you raised the hood and listened?

Yes. The hood is up and I have done some maintenance, but the buzzer is a for sure. Changed and adjusted the fan belt, vacuumed out the spark arrestor. filled the front axle, checked oil and hydraulic fluid. I am thinking a trip to the dealer as tradosaurus suggested; just don't want to make the haul which is hour and a half away. I am going to the big city of today; think I will stop and talk to the Kubota dealer.

Think I made some progress on my L39. It wasn't actually used to tear down the building; it was used to load out the concrete; I just know some pieces I put in that dumpster were close or above it's limits. In testing it the engine dies a few seconds after I select forward or reverse with the shuttle shift lever. Hoping a bad switch and that maybe one of you have had a similar problem. Thanks for any response that you are willing to make.

My first guess would be a low fluid warning, cuz that is important, and you do report leaks.

Also, your tractor has the GST transmission, which is an electronically controlled gear trans. I have driven them, but never worked on one. I wonder how the controller works...

BTW, your L39 is heavier than the MX5400, even without the backhoe attached.

I just checked the shuttle shift switch and it failed continuity according to the L39 shop manual. The tractor ran in neutral but died when shifted to reverse or forward. Hope that will do the trick but I agree there is a fluid problem. I have never let it get low on fluid but there is leakage at the FEL valve that I have yet to figure out after I get it running again.
dfkrug you are right about MX5400 and L39 weight.

The L39 doesn't do regeneration. It was built before that was required.
Where is the buzzer located? Does it sound like a warning buzzer or is it some part buzzing?
Reason I ask is that the shuttle shift switch probably activates a relay that either does the GST shifting or triggers a solenoid to open a hydraulic valve to do the same. It is fairly common for a relay or solenoid to start buzzing when they fail.
Sometimes you can just clean the contacts and get a solenoid working .
Put your hand on part 21. See if that is what is buzzing.

If the workshop manual has a schematic of the GST electrials we could maybe figure out where to look.
