Another Newbie looking to buy a tractor

On Kubota, even the L2501 was too rich for my blood, and it didn't have particularly good features, IMO. On Massey, the 1526 was interesting, but too small. The 1825E was just too stripped down for my taste, and the 1840M was about perfect, if I had about $8000 more, which I didn't. I did not look at LS in person, that dealer had shut down, and I didn't go searching for another. Bobcat I didn't bother looking at. Rural King tractors, I did look at the R24, R25, and R37. The 24 was Way too small. The 25 initially impressed me, but I didn't want a 2 speed HST, and when I looked at it up close, I was really kinda disappointed in just how light the 3 point arms and all Looked. The RK37 was pretty nice, but out of my budget.

Now, if I could do it again, I likely would have tried to scrounge up the upgrade money to go from the CK2610 to the Ck3510
Inter that you bought Kioti, but wouldn’t consider Bobcat. They are the same tractors with different paint colors.

Yeah, so frankly I didn't see the need to check the Bobcat. I saw no discount on grey vs orange, so why not get the orange

Knowing I'll be using this for 40years (hopefully), that seems worth it up front.
This will depend on parts availability. A thing that's hard to include in your purchasing decision, but as the years tick off you'll regret dismissing this consideration.
Here's the advertisement for it xxx? years down the road;

Tractor for sale. Backhoe and loader operate fine, could use new pins. Engine starts and runs perfectly. Kept under roof since new. Machine will not move on its own. $XXXX or best offer. Will part out.

A simple shifting fork or pump seals and a shaft that was supplied by "dingdong" who supplied the transmission component to the "manufacturer" was sold to X or is no longer in business and parts for that transmission were discontinued 12 years after your decision......
What is that $100 shifting fork worth now? One might gladly pay thousands for one.

Made the decision. Kioti NS4710HST cab version with (in addition to standard equipment):
  • FEL- 72" bucket with cutting edge
  • Backhoe- w/ 12" and 24" buckets and mechanical thumb
  • Loaded tires
  • 3rd Function
  • Grapple
  • Pallet forks
  • Tree puller
  • Rear Blade
  • Second rear remote
  • Radio
  • Rear wiper
  • Bucket hook
  • Linked pedal
  • Engine block heater
  • Fuel heater
  • Clevis drawbar
  • Beacon wiring kit (so that rear lights and camera can more easily be added in the future)
Should be very well setup for completing or maintaining that woods trail as well as at the house. Debated getting the NS6010 for the extra HP on hills but it wasn't worth the extra $7-8k. Only implement I passed on today was a snow pusher. That might be a next year thing or the bucket might be perfect for here. With the heaters, the Maine winter shouldn't be an issue.

I had originally been leaning towards the TYM but that dealership didn't exactly fill me with confidence, they were a bit away, and overall the price (after financing) was $1k more than the Kioti. Kioti having a .99% rate vs 3.99% made a huge difference. Additionally, the Kioti is more complete after all those options. Less power but I like the cab space in the NS more.

Going to be <2weeks estimated delivery.

That is a wonderful choice. It will take weeks for the smile to leave your face.

Congratulations on your choice of Kioti. I think they make good tractors. As I have been following this thread - I am thinking you are located in southern Maine. If this is true - did you order from the Kioti dealer in Lebanon, Maine?

Look into Topsham Tractor if you're looking seriously at Kioti. What is your closest Massey Dealer?
Thank you tacticalturnip. That's where I purchased from. They had a very complete dealership. The other nearby Kioti dealership I drove by in the first day home. Saw the tractors and decided to loop back the next time I was out that way. Wish I hadn't. It was sad. Rusted machines they were selling as new.

Topsham Tractor on the other hand was able to show me in person everything from the CK lineup through the RX model. Well except the NX which they were not able to order. I'm guessing they also had models smaller than the CK but didn't look.

They were able to procure all the necessary implements. There may be some challenges with the factory options but he said he should be able to get them timely.
