Hello, My ford 3000, clutch seems either worn or out of adjustment. When I depress it, it is not engaging, and won't go into gear. Are these hydraulic? Also how do I adjust? Any info is much appreciated.

Thanks

They are not hydraulic, look below the pedal and you will see a threaded rod with a clevis on each end. Remove one end of it and adjust the rod until you get an inch or two of free pedal travel. If adjusting the linkage does not fix your problem then it maybe time for a clutch.

Thanks John, I am hoping it just needs adjusted, I have had it for about 10 years, and it had a new clutch when I got it. Thanks again, with fingers crossed.

Well, it wasnt the clutch adjustment. Had a friend check it out, found mouse nest.

So does anyone know the torque specs for the flywheel to the mount, and the pressure plate to the flywheel? I am getting different results on my searches. Thanks in advance.

Flywheel to engine should be around 75-85 ft. lbs. and the clutch to flywheel around 20 ft. lbs. I would just Google a bolt torque chart, it will be close enough for what you are working on. Just be sure you select the correct grade of bolt spec.

Hi John, thanks for info, I believe they are going to use old bolts.

Yes but he's talking grade 5 or grade 8 or whatever you're going to get a different recommended torque value which also changes based on thread pitch
