Snow plowing season started for me on my birthday today, 5 inches of wet snow and soft ground......my favorite kind......not

I only had 3 inches of wet snow with the same soft ground. I really like a nice dry freeze before we get snow.

We do have some in our forecast. Ground doesn't freeze here.

Pods are not on 6x6 to push any snow anyway. Having had eye surgery on Monday, they tell me not to lift heaver things.

Yesterday, the forecast called for a 2" snowstorm the following day. 2 inches is barely worth plowing, but I put the plow on the tractor anyway. I normally don't put chains on unless a big storm is predicted but it was a nice afternoon, so I decided to get the dreaded chore over with and put them on as well.

This morning, I woke up to 10 inches on the ground and more to follow. I guess I made a good call.

Ditto. This time of year is the worst for snow on soft ground, makes a mess of the driveway.
Saying that, the temps lately are crazy warm here. Yesterday it was up to 12C (54F) with nights only dropping to 5C (41F) . We're in the middle of a drought here now in NS, haven't had any amount of rain in my area for months. I'm hoping we get a good dousing before the temps drop and snow shows up.
