Good morning,
47° now highs in the mid/upper 60’s winds SSW 5-10 mph. Raining now (0.29” since yesterday 👍) may see some sun by afternoon. Some brush fires in MA been sending some smoke our way air quality yesterday was pretty crappy, the overnight rain should clean that up.

Yesterday was semi productive, after shopping took the leaf blower for a short walk to clean up driveway and that was it for outside work (lungs do not like smokey air).
Not much planned for today, putter around and maybe a dump run later.

Enjoy your day everyone
Stay safe and healthy

Good Morning
45° and a high just under 80 under clear skies. Not our typical October weather.

I tried posting when I was on the road unsuccessfully, not sure if I tried yesterday. Been busy getting settled into the OFH.
Today is my first ever dermatologist appointment, we will see how it goes. After that I’m off to make settlement on the turboprop, it should go smoothly, the buyer has the funds escrowed, all the inspections and test flight are complete.

Then it’s back to moving housewares into the OFH. Also have to move hay from the shed to the barn.

Good morning TBN!! 60 this morning with a high of 80 expected, Clouds giving way to sun later.
Gave the tractor some much needed love. Had to pull the FEL off to get to the only grease zerk that can't be gotten to while it's attached, (of course). Got it off chased the threads, a little thread lock and reassembled. Attached the FEL except for the lines which I will do this morning.
Between the dog and walking in the garage I got just shy of 12k steps.
Todays plan is more tractor love. I have rigged multiple electrics to get me by for bridge replacing work and now I have a little time to catchup. Also need to tighten the throttle control off and general clean up under the dash. Should keep me busy enough today ;)

Have a great and safe day!!!

Yesterday's rain helped bring down leaves after the frost a few days ago.
I have a huge Red Maple at the front of the house that is very reluctant to give up it's foliage.
It is usually the last tree to have any left. The branches at the very tip top are just starting to show.
Going to be 70s for today and tomorrow. However the SW wind has brought poor air quality and I can really feel it in my sinuses.
Too nice not to take advantage of this weather but...
Maybe go for coffee :coffee: with the guys and hope some of the females still have their figures on display before winter clothes hide them away for the season.
Play nice out there, don't act like a politician. :poop:

Morning all, 47 going to 78, foggy, fire warnings.
Did another outside movie after replacing battery in Dyson vacuum (pretty easy).
Did some more fixes, got the projectors out and put the dog on the runner.
She is fixated on the 3rd affects screen and sometimes barks at it, she doesn't even notice the regular TV.

David/Sodamo - hope this is the final fix! Champagne tonight !

Be well,

Good Morning,
Ct,52 to start going to 72 or more ! Bright sunny start this morning!

Walked out into the garage a couple of days ago and strong smell of gas ! I thought it was my 1949 Farmall Super A but it ended up being my 8KW generator, Honda GX 390 ! The fuel bowl on the carburetor was leaking, went to tighten up tbe 5/16-24 screw and the bowl just fell into my hand ! The bolt had just rotted off ! I was able to find another bolt, not a direct replacement but I got it to stop leaking! I can start the generator but it runs really rough !im thinking the fuel in the tank is bad, it’s been in there for 2 years maybe more, it was treated with stabilizer but I guess that will only last so long ! Looks like I need to drain the tank and get some fresh fuel ! 😒

David, great news on your tractor! I am also curious at what speed you can mow that stuff at ! I know in my old Massey Ferguson I mow in mid range 4 th gear with a 5 ft hog and I think my speed is only about 3.5 mph.

Paul good luck with the sale on the turbo prop !

Mostly, I wish it was BRATS that I was eating ! Back to regular food today ! The Omeprazole is working so far ! I am hoping I can get to the point of not having to take it every day , so I guess we will see ! 😉🙏

Frits, good luck with the new saw ! I have the Stihl 029 Farm Boss and the 025, both good saws, although I wish I owned a nice little limbing saw that was nice and light ! 😉

Hope all have a good day ! 🙏

Good Morning!!!! 47F @ 6:45AM. Partly cloudy. Cool. High 67F. Winds SSE at 10 to 20 mph.
Rain on the way for overnight tonight.

hope it sticks in places the red goop exploded...
That was down at the new place, but there was an oil splash or two here that seem to have been covered up OK.
LS with 6ft rotary 8:30- 1345 without a hiccup.
Best news I've heard out of Hawaii for way too long, David. Hope the good luck holds!
Frits, is it actually a 261 CM with the computer ignition and carb?
Good question. I've never had anything from Stihl that would start easily and reliably if it didn't have a primer bulb. And that's the reason most of those tools have been sold off and replaced with Makita battery powered tools. Still have a Stihl 261, without a primer bulb, and it'll soon be on its way to a new home, too.

Got 99% of the garage paint finished off yesterday, but the 5 gallon pail ran dry with only one 4' wide wall left to do. I could probably get away with using white paint from a different can/brand, but I'm probably too lazy to find out.

Tried to get my core charge back from an old battery at Walmart yesterday, but was refused because the receipt was over 3 years old and no longer in their computer. That's the excuse I got from a manager, and I told him he's just lost another customer. I left without my $12, and the old battery. If I have my way, I will never set foot in a Walmart again.

Last time I drove the F250 to town I noticed it was cranking a little slow, and when I fired it up yesterday afternoon it was even slower. It's been on a Battery Saver, but when I disconnected it I saw the voltage display flicker and the values were changing when I touched it. Another one bites the dust; they don't do well outside. Just to be sure I'll clean the battery terminals and leads today, and take the Battery Saver apart and look for a loose wire or bad solder joint.

Happy Hump Day, folks!

I was up again in the night, then fell asleep on the couch. Went back to bed later, and slept till 10.

So good morning.

The VA land is sold. We went down and signed in person. The closing co wanted to send notary to our house, but I wasn’t comfortable giving SSN and banking info to a 3rd party person.

Not sure what I’ll get into today.

Good morning, the low is 58 and going to a high of 64°F. wind S 11 mph. Mostly cloudy.

Today I think we will be putting up the plastic on the inside of the windows. I know it would work better on the outside and if I had permanent/semi permanent storms made with glass, I would put them on the outside.

I think Junior forgot to pick up my dope at the dope store yesterday. That will wait until I get a round tuit.

Ron, it looks to me like your tree rat and dog are playing hide and seek.

Time to get on with my day.

Have a safe day all
I remember as a kid growing up in Maine the outside storm windows for winter, screens in summer. Also remember how thick the frost on inside of glass sometimes.
