Perma-Chink for deck stain?

Yeah, I made a mistake I'm still kicking my butt about.
There is a product that will last years and years. Aluminum.
I had found a seller closing out aluminum decking, primarily for docks. At a price maybe only twice that of PT w/ 2 coats of good stain, couldn't talk my son into it. I was going to install a new large deck at the house I'm renting him, my pool deck, and 2 more decks (~14x16) I've got. Would have been "one and done".
He couldn't decide, and my wife didn't like the idea of aluminum deck, unless it was on the river.
Now I'm scrubbing deck every few years and staining.

A couple things here. I have a small dock on my lake. It stays on the lake year round. The deck is that composite material. Made of cigarette butts and old tooth brushes. Never been stained - looks as good as the day it was built. Only problem - that composite material get hotter than wildfire in the summer. This could be a concern for use on decks around the house. Definitely will burn bare feet. On the dock - throw a couple buckets of lake water across the dock - all is well for an hour or so. Then do it again.

I have two wood decks around the house. Made of pine. I re-stain them every ten to twelve years. I use this stuff - InWood Semi-tanslucent oil stain. Wait till the hottest part of the summer. Apply with a very fuzzy roller. Apply until its drenched and dripping. My decks have never needed to be rebuilt and still look fine. Both decks are 43 years old.

Well I sure don't understand SW pricing or it may be the individual store.
I just picked up another 6 gallons of the SuperDeck Oil-Based Semi-Transparent Wood Stain and the guy charged me about the same price I paid back in 2019, $37.66/gal. List price today is ~$75/gallon.
Didn't argue, didn't want to start a discussion with other customers around.
