2013 Branson 2400H question.

Hello!

I hope this is the forum for Branson tractors now that TYM bought us!

Does anyone know if the mid PTO on a Branson 2400H is supposed to hook up to anything? I was just doing a service on it and noticed some damage to the front drive shaft. At the same time I saw an exposed, short, drive shaft poking out of the transmission in the back. I looked it up in my service manual and it said it is the mid PTO.

Everything is currently working on my 2400H. Just wondering what the mid PTO is for??

Mid mount mower is what I use mine for. Not sure if Branson offered front mount snow blower but that is another possible option.

Berco-Mac in Canada makes a front mount snow blower that also uses that mid pto.
Otherwise you dont really need to worry about it. Just don't run it when going through tall grass, I've seen people get grass wrapped around it and take out the oil seal there.

I just got one and didn't look to see if mine has one.
It has the lever for it. Do all of the 2400H comes with mid pto or is it an option and have the level just as standard set up?

I believe the mid PTO was a standard feature on all of them.

Suspect requires a Branson or TYM mid mount mower so that mounting and PTO are correct.

Not sure on the front mount snow blower option. I am old school and have a 3 point blower since I have front blade or loader.

What deck are u using I see some on Market Place for sale and might pick one up just for kicks.

Manual I have for mower says it is an MB60A. Note this requires a mounting kit that includes brackets that bolt to front on tractor, side rails under floor board and arms that hook on lower 3 point. Without this the deck is useless. Will head out to shed and try to get some pictures of these items.

the round pin on the road attaches to the 3 point brackets and under floor boards. didn't take a picture of those attachment points.
Piece that looks like sled runners is the front bracket that goes from deck to the front hangers

NOTE: This on a 2012 model so not positive the mounting is identical for a 202* model. I believe the deck shape changed but again not certain on mounting brackets.
