I build my cabinets without using a table saw. most rips done with circular saw using guides. I have a radial arm saw, but don't like ripping with it. It has too much play in the arm.

I'm also considering a track saw, they get even pricier.

I do have a really really cheap small table saw somewhere in the basement, might be a craftsman, or a delta. it's so bad, it's not been used in many many years. just happened to remember I had it.

Drinking warm cup of coffee. 54° with clear skies this morning. Heading to 82° with plenty of sun. Did not sleep good last night. Got SSQA adapters painted. Not the best paint job. But parts will not rust. some of the pole barn is cleaned up. Will finish it and shop today. Maybe a afternoon nap. Then some NASCAR on TV.

Prayers and best wishes for everyone.

Good Morning All.

72 going to 94.

Real nice job, Dftodd. Nice trees in there now show so well. Hope none of those vines are poison ivy.

Scott, those saw horses look too nice to use!

We had a fun day yesterday. 2 of our sons and wives, granddaughter and dogs all came for a birthday party. Was so hot we mostly stayed inside except to walk the dogs around, but I did some cooking on the grill.

Morning all!
Starting at an extremely humid 70 and going to 86. Rained all day yesterday and forecast shows 4 more days of rain in the coming week! I think I'm in a new micro climate rain forest.
Not much activity this week with all this weather. Did putter in the woodshop a bit and started moving things out of the way to prep for the upcoming furnace work. Fuel tank replacement will need lots of room.
Going to try and head to my sisters tomorrow to finish leveling her pile of stone and loam so she can get her tractor ready for sale. She will just use her riding mower going forward. Will start early and quit when the heat builds up.
New baby in the family. My sister's great, great nephew.
Got to hold him at just 3 days old.

Two projects from the shop.
3x3 walnut box and a 10x5 fruit bowl made from a rotten piece of maple I had to stabilize with epoxy.

Grabbed a pic of momma or pappa bird feeding the small nest of chicks they built in the bush next to our porch.

Hope everyone stays safe and healthy!

good morning all
another hot sticky day
delivering cukes to Ken this morning, looking forward to seeing his new table being made, then off to
lunch with son of friend who is visiting.

if I keep the curtains all closed and the a/c cranked down, house stays cool. I look at remote thermostat in rv and it's 100 degrees in there, even
with bathroom vent fan running. I put a new fan in there when I bought the rv, good thing, I run that fan a lot.

we swelter and suffer at 100 degrees here, HI usually around 110.
Add another ten degrees to that, hard to imagine for Scootr, Ted and others.
I need to buy more water today, just not drinking enough.
will also make more home made peach iced tea

Good morning! Ended up with 1.15" rain yesterday and none is predicted today. 72˚now before sunrise and expected to get to the upper 80s with a SE wind. The big news is still Beryl, will it strengthen will it flood? It is looking better for us but Kyle is closer to the predicted path and may get a lot of rain. Our chance of rain is at 40% Monday when it hits Texas and makes a Easterly turn.

The Ring Doorbell installation is turning into a nightmare with everything that can go wrong is going wrong. Spent 2 hours on the phone with support and still have not solved all the issues. If I can't get it working properly today I'll have to return it and I have not even started adding the yard cameras.

The yard got a good soaking yesterday and the pool can only take another inch of rain before its full and 3" before it overflows and I have to pump water out. No wind this morning everything is very still the pool is a mirror. Water Temp is down to 84˚.

Really nice pix from everyone-- thanks all for sharing!!

Weather people said it was 108F yesterday. Our NV residence is close to 5,000' elevation-- it showed an even 100F on our thermometer. Still 5+ days in the forecast at 100F+. Flood irrigated yesterday which helped a little.

We had a 14 acre blaze touched off by fireworks nearby-- hope there are not any larger ones in this heat. Must be miserable to be on the line fighting something like that.

Rigby got me up at 4-- let me know "it's time to go out!!" He insisted on taking a toy with him to go outside. I'm going to weigh him today-- I'll bet he has doubled to 24 lbs now, maybe bigger.

Everyone have a great day!!!

Good morning all,
73° and humid now, highs around 90° winds W 5-10 mph. Garden is watered, working on 2nd cup of coffee and pondering what to get involved in today.
A conserve energy day is high on the list.

Plowhog, Rigby sure looks like a happy pup. He picked a good family to make his own 👍. Can’t imagine those temps, that would make me get on plane to visit Wagtail lol. Stay safe.

To our friends in Texas, I hope Beryl has little impact.

Enjoy your day everyone
Stay safe and healthy

Good Morning,
Vt, 64 to start going to 85 or do with mostly sunny skies ! The humidity is still with us !

NHBX Ted and Wngsprd, thanks for comments on the saw horses, they do come in handy at times ! They ate only 18 1/2” high but for bigger pieces that height works well.

Phil, congrats on new family member ! 🙏

Any body have much experience with these vehicles?
Lou, we had an Equinox quite a few years ago and had issues with it not wanting to go into FWD ! Then we had a number of Subaru Foresters ! Now we have a Honda CRV, my wife’s car.

Don, we have one Ring camera on the Connecticut house. Seems to work Ok!
For many years our front doorbell didn’t work because the transformer got blown out during a lightning storm. So when I installed the Ring doorbell I had to replace the transformer! It’s nice to check on the house when your away for packages etc !

The whole crew is leaving today, so a much more relaxed day later !😉

My Fridgedaire stackable washer is not working, looks like I need to replace the locking switch on the washer ! Will try and determine what model and serial number machine I have !

Hope all have a good day ! 🙏

company is coming...so had to do a quick vacuum and pick up.
headed out shortly to ken's with veggies, then home to be ready for guests.

as far as Nissan Rogues, I would avoid a CVT if possible. They usually don't last more than 150k miles.
try to get a conventional automatic trans.
Nissan early on with Infinity started installing much better seats than you normally get.
pretty sure comparable Toyota more reliable, but Nissan has different style, younger look

Morning all, 78 going up to 94 and cloudy.
Got some more items from the garden.
Did some watering, so of course it rained last night, and of course forecast was 0"
Put out some RM43, so hope it sunk in a bit before last nights rain.

Resin pour leaked, but had the presence of mine to put a garbage bag under the pour area. So just ended up a puddle on the bag. Hopefully enough stayed that I can do a thin pour and have it stay in.
Will find out later.

Pool was low, so filled it, and then it rained, so now need to purge a bit :-(

Phil - new baby in the family, so cute.

Be well,
Las nights visitor at the door, wonder what he wants?
