yanmar 1500 transmission

I own a yanmar 1500 with transmission problems, tooth missing on 3rd gear and bearing noise. I found a ym2000 parts tractor and was wondering if the transmissions are the same or completely different between the two. It only has 240 hrs and is a great little tractor with a loader, but it seems 3rd is the gear I always want to use. Any knowledge on this would be great!

You will need to compare both machines' parts manuals to verify. The manuals are free on the YTOG.
