I'll add on to the "Emotional Support Animal" chain.
As I've stated in other threads, my friend owns a campground. A perfectly acceptable place to take your well-trained pooch to spend an enjoyable weekend in the woods. However, his insurance requires breed restrictions and his hands are tied on this.
I've heard this exact conversation every time I've been up while he's been taking reservations.
"Yes, I'd like to bring my dog?"
That's fine, but there are restrictions.
"ITS AN EMOTIONAL SUPPORT ANIMAL!!!"
Unfortunately, our insurance requires breed restrictions with exceptions for Medical Service Animals. What breed is it?
"Oh its a Labrador mix."
What else is in the mix?
"Oh a little bit of everything, Labrador, pitbull, Golden retriever, you know."
I'm sorry, all pitbulls and mixes are included in our restrictions.
"*Several words that cannot be posted to this forum* AND YOUR CAMPGROUND TOO!!!"
People have become feral when it comes to dogs. I don't know how we got here.
