I don't like it when someone gets in your car or truck and all of a sudden they think can change the AC setting and the radio station to their liking.
The last person to try that was left by the side of the road scratching their head...
Or just those people who are constantly fiddling with the radio when they're driving, changing the station every 3-4 minutes or when a song they don't like comes on, whichever comes first. Drives me nuts.
Just get in their car when no key in ignition. Turn everything wide open: wiper high, radio full blast, fan high, seat forward, etc.
So when they start it
That worked 20 years ago, today with everything integrated into one or another body control module not so much.

I agree. The other week, while I was away, our entire master bedroom closet shelving pulled out of the wall. OF course, fixing it snowballed like most projects and involved completely repainting the closet.

It did make me make a mental note that if I ever build another house, I'm going to put additional blocking in the wall for attaching shelving.
I put so much dry wall backing in my cabin when I built it ,If I wanted to I probably wouldn't have needed to drywall it. There wasn't a scrap 2x anywhere over 14.5" when I was done. I'd say the plumber and electrician had some choice words for me but I ran it all mostly myself lol.

Not sure how that could bother you. Would've thought you'd be too scared by the way I drive to worry about it.

But if it helps, when I really drive fast I don't hear the radio (if it's even on) since there's no attention to spare to use for changing channels.

Modern conveniences fix the radio station thing. I just hook up my Pandora and it plays what I like.
I love the Pandora! Especially since I found out what thumbprint means!

Ok, I read the first five pages and the last three and didn't see my pet peeve so here goes. I love dogs but when did it become common practice to bring your dog everywhere you go? Your dog does not belong in the grocery store on a leash or in the kids seat unless it is a real service animal. Also, service animals are trained to perform a specific job or function. Buying a vest on line does not make your emotional support dog a service animal. That is no different than printing a fake handicap sticker so you can park closer to the entrance.

When I have a dog it goes nearly everywhere with me. I raise them to like people, and that's the best way to socialise a pup. Hardware stores around here generally are glad to have you ring your dog. Yet there are certain places they don't belong... grocery stores and especially grocery carts are on that list.

And since you brought up the subject of dogs... clean up after him!!! There is nothing worse than piles of dog shot in public places... except for dirty diapers.

I'll take dog crap over needles, broken bottles, old tires and host of other things... Fishing Line thrown on the grass is a lot fun with mowers and waterfowl.

Edit: Motto is leave it cleaner than you found it....

I use to have signs made up that read, “If you had room to bring it, you have room to take it out.”
I hate seeing the empty blue worn tubs littering the area.!!

How about neither.

I like my own dogs. But I don't want to see or deal with yours, at the stores I visit. Especially if I'm stopping on my way to see a customer or client, and a friendly dog wants to lean up against and shed all over me.

They don't belong in stores.

I would not argue that. I have 7 right now plus my son's makes 8 during the day for us. None of mine go any where, never have even when I still went places ;)
Unless it's a trip to a vet.....

But aren't all pets emotional support. I know that when I have mental struggles, working in pasture with the cattle is quite soothing....
Maybe I can take my emotional support cow to Walmart.

I'll add on to the "Emotional Support Animal" chain.

As I've stated in other threads, my friend owns a campground. A perfectly acceptable place to take your well-trained pooch to spend an enjoyable weekend in the woods. However, his insurance requires breed restrictions and his hands are tied on this.

I've heard this exact conversation every time I've been up while he's been taking reservations.

"Yes, I'd like to bring my dog?"
That's fine, but there are restrictions.
"ITS AN EMOTIONAL SUPPORT ANIMAL!!!"
Unfortunately, our insurance requires breed restrictions with exceptions for Medical Service Animals. What breed is it?
"Oh its a Labrador mix."
What else is in the mix?
"Oh a little bit of everything, Labrador, pitbull, Golden retriever, you know."
I'm sorry, all pitbulls and mixes are included in our restrictions.
"*Several words that cannot be posted to this forum* AND YOUR CAMPGROUND TOO!!!"

People have become feral when it comes to dogs. I don't know how we got here.

It’s a huge issue with offering residential rentals…

Many carriers have breed restrictions and home business use restrictions.

As a property manager a Doctors note means I am compelled to accept and similar for home day care providers not exceeding 6… can’t even compel daycare provide insurance.

Not sure what you mean by that, but some people just don't like dogs. I'm one of them. After a while you get tired of people who expect theirs to be welcome everywhere.
My last statement was people treat dogs less like pets and more like children. People lose their minds when Fido isn't welcome somewhere. When I was growing up, dogs stayed with a family friend or in a kennel on vacation, now they're tagging along everywhere for the flimsiest of reasons.
