1967 Ford 5000 w/FEL(sold), 1950 Farmall Super A for the wife to drive around (needs fixed) 2024 Kubota B2601 FEL & BH
So next project is going to be some protection from falling limbs, branches and to help protect me when I flop her. (Not if.... I have rolled and flopped too many vehicles to not do it eventually) 🤪 This may be slow, but this thread will keep me motivated to get it done in a few weeks hopefully.

Stay tuned....

Plan is 100% bolt on, cut a mount for fit and function or proof of concept.

Working in woods, trees on our hillside farm a four post ROPS is a necessity. One of many reasons I like the Kubota TLBs. Their FELs are not removable.

Added front posts and steel top to 80s model B20 forty years ago. That’s the tricker part of your build. Design to still remove the FEL with four post ROPS?Some steel tubing and golf cart top should be an easy build.

Mounting for the front posts?
Small brackets are for the ROPS connection or
("B" bar). The bigger ones are for the ("A" bar)

These are 3/16 thick. Got the day off so we are going hiking with the dogs, will do more tomorrow or maybe tonight.

Plan to incorporate a lot of things, tool box, saw mount, shovel, chains etc.

Yes, all removable as per factory design. I am at 2 holes to drill so far 1 each side of FEL.

Adding chainsaw, fire extinguisher, chain, long tools mounts makes the tractor safer and a pleasure to use. Four post allows many options for improving lighting and mirrors.

Maybe incorporate a grab handle on the front upright for safer egress in and out of the tractor?

All the Kubota TLBs use what looks to be the same design for the 4 post ROPS - just the size is different.
When we got the M59, it was our first tractor ever with a 4 post canopy, and I like it.
Making a 4 post ROPS into a cab could be done, too.

Definitely going to make it comfy, have built enough cages to know that at 25 years old is different than 55years old bodies don't move the same 😛 I got to go to the dump 1st today, then find the old fab shop....old wood building 😉

Plan several hand holds, I have some 1/2 tubing to bend for them.

I have been really wanting to do this on my m7060 as well! The way the canopy mounts leaves a lot to be desired. I keep raising the canopy so that I can stand on the tractor and it keeps falling back down. I have been thinking of mounting in the same location, I will be watching your progress.

I did the same but with a full skid pan. I'll try to get a link to my post here, it was about 8 years ago.

It looks like a great project.

I'm pretty sure I'll eventually end up with a cage around my Landini trekker crawler. The ROPS just isn't enough.

Are you bolting to your front end loader? It should be a sturdy place to connect to, but if you ever have to remove the loader, the cage will also come off.

Hope to work on it today after a few honey do things. I do not plan on taking the FEL off ever unless it gets damaged some how, but worst case would be take a bunch of bolts loose.
