Good to see you're still having fun! It was nice to see a post notification that wasn't from the politics thread. 🤣

As for the windmills, we've decided we want to park a butt ton off of our coast. It'll be fun to see what happens.

Well had to quit playing and start getting some work done this week. So started out by putting new water pump, all new gauges, and electronic ignition in the Allis Chalmers CA.
Then put the deck on Kubota after spending a whole day mowing with the lawn tractor to get just one and a half of my three lawns cut.
Then needed a break. So took a trail ride into the forest to visit the trolls at their village.

It's fun when life makes the choices for you; did you want to put the deck on the Kubota? Probably not. But life insisted upon it. 🤣

Well, I was just thinking I'd keep mowing a bit at a time with the lawn tractors because I was debating putting the backhoe on the Kubota, but just takes too long with those.

It seems CF Moto is pretty well-known overseas. I noticed Iron Baltic makes some stuff for them.
I have a plow, mount, and rear winch mount, all built by them and it is nice solid stuff if you are ever looking for anything. I think they are in Germany if I recall correctly.

Haven't been doing lots of riding lately, been too busy playing with the antique tractors, but still so far so good. No issues or horror stories to report yet.

But I can say, now that we are in the full heat of summer, even though I said it seems cooler in the cockpit than previous Polaris's....it still gets damn hot as soon as you stop, or get into slow climbing or rock crawling. Especially now that I have the rear window installed.

And one other thing for anyone who may be interested in buying one....the clutch makes a lot of racket compared to a Polaris. It performs flawlessly but when you are on and off the throttle it does make some racket. It's like you can hear the weights slapping.

There are clutch kits for them, but I'm not going down that road again. I clutched my Polaris because all the magazines and forums were saying how much better performance and I ended up putting it back to stock because I hated it, LOL

I bought a new Honda Rubicon 520 in September and it's been a beast. I'm now planning to sell it and get a sxs. I'm thinking either the 700 Pioneer or a Kawaski Mule. I love the Rubicon but would really like to have a bed to put stuff.

I like the Honda Pioneers, but I had already bought my new Kubota RTV-X1100C so didn't want to spend another $36,000 Canadian for a Pioneer. So that's why I went with the CF Moto at $20,000 tax in out the door fully loaded.

I've never looked at Kawasaki's but I've heard from a few friends lately that they are very well built?

Yes, the Mule's are well known to be an absolute tank. They run more like a Kubota RTV, more work than play.

I bought a car hauler off an old man a few weeks ago and he had a very nice Kubota UTV-900 with only 400 hours on it. It was a 4x4 diesel model with winch. He was really wanting a quad because he said that the Kubota was too large and cumbersome to get into his woods to make trails. He asked me to trade even for my new Honda Rubicon. Like an idiot I declined his offer, and he sold that Kubota within a day. I am really kicking myself in the rear for not making that trade now...

Ya, the Kubota RTV prices have really gone up. I bought my RTV-X1100C cab back in 2020 and added stereo, turn signals, LED light bar above windshield, two LED rear work lights, receiver hitch mounted 4500 pound winch wire front and rear, rear view mirrors, bed liner, worksite tires, rear protection plate and a $5300 Boss vee plow and I have $34,000 total in it and my dealer offered me $30,000 if I want to trade it in. And a new bare one with no options is 30 grand now.

That's why I ended up buying it. 36 grand here in Canada for a Ranger at the time or a Honda Pioneer or Talon and at the time I wasn't worried about speed so I went Kubota and have a machine that can work and will last forever. And it's a still a fun trail riding machine, though I ain't gunna try mudding or extreme riding with it. 2500 pounds you'd need a dozer to pull it out, LOL
It's funny when you go out for a trail ride and come home with a full box load of free firewood from all the scrap the loggers leave behind. And it drives just the same loaded as empty.

But now that I am doing more long distance riding with friends again that involve some roading....I need something with more speed than 25 MPH.

Enjoy your ride, be safe, and post some photos - never been on the trails up there.

So did a ride yesterday. Forgot to look at my odo, so not sure how many miles we put on, but was pretty easy on gas.
All of my comparisons between my CF and a Polaris RZR1000 have been my seat of pants feelings jumping out of one and into the other. But yesterday did a short little drag race with my friend's new RZR1000 non turbo. We didn't go flat out to any high speed. He called the start and jumped before I did, but no way I could reel him in. Then we traded machines again.
I found the Polaris to have nicer clutching. Not that the CF is bad, but the Polaris is perfect. The Polaris has more power, especially on the top end.

The steering, I guess it depends on what you like, but the power steering in my CF is way stiffer than Polaris.

The Polaris rides a bit nice, though I haven't touched any of my suspension clickers, spring preload or tire pressure, so I don't even know where dealer has them set at.

My CF has more leg and foot room and the dead pedal on the left is much bigger and better placed.

My friend said he liked my seats better.

And lastly, the reason I prefer my CF....the exhaust note from the Polaris and Can Am's is the most annoying thing to me ever. Even going slow I find them irritating. Whereas the vee-twin in my CF sounds like a Harley WITH mufflers. It's a more subdued rumble.

My wife bought a Kubota Sidekick 850 and I took the speed limiter off. It will do almost 60 which is too fast for us old farts anyway. Has all the fru-fru on it as well, 5K remote winch, fold down windshield, rearview mirrors, lighting package, tilt bed coated in Rhino Liner, mud flaps front and rear full belly pan, headrests and more. She likes it, so do I. It's 4wd on demand and so far has not gotten stuck...lol
How'd you remove the speed limiter?

Was a fun ride, but the dirt out there is real silty and the dust yesterday was unreal!! I felt like I had ten pounds of dirt in my lungs. Perfect for my asthma, LOL
Dirt is still coming out of my eyes.
Makes me appreciate my rock and mud I ride on at home here.
The trails through Bruce Mines, Thessalon and along Highway 129 are really nice though. But next time I'll be waiting for rain, LOL

I do have a rear window too, along with the windshield but the cabin still gets filled with dust.

Nice looking country.

Sounds like you had fun and that is the name of the game. We are also having all the dust issues here this year. I actually prefer having my side and front window open on the SxS but with the dust, I have been closing it up and running the A/C. If not, the dust gets on everything and it takes forever to clean the interior! Anymore, I prefer going for a ride the day after we get a good rain if we are going in a group.
