Polaris or CF Moto?

I think I'd still have an issue with CFMoto. I think it's great that they assemble them here. My issue with Chinese companies is their fickleness and how quickly they seem to come and go. I expect I'd probably keep something like a UTV for a pretty long time. Heck, I've been using my Kubota BX2200 for over 20 years and I can still get any part I need.

But maybe their business models are changing.
CF Moto has been around since 1989, they are well established and still growing.

I have owned two Polaris machines and sold them. Had a Kawasaki Mule for a few years but got tired of the low speed, noise and rough ride.

Traded the Mule for a CF 1000 and am reasonably satisfied so far. I saved over $4000 over a Polaris or Kawasaki. The only thing I don’t like is the jerkiness of the drive when starting out, There is an aftermarket kit that addresses the issue and may get it.
First check the one way bearing, may need a new one. If not, Dalton has a clutch kit that will solve that issue.

CF Moto has a Plant in Plymouth,WI. Nice to see them assembled in USA.
From CF Moto's website:

"CFMOTO vehicle lines are currently manufactured in Thailand and China alongside other major global motorsports names, with plans to open a new manufacturing facility in Mexico in 2024."

They have their US headquarters and parts distribution center in MN. Didn't say anything about doing any manufacturing there.
Be hard for us to compete because their gov subsidizes all the factories. They can run at a loss.
Lets not forget the shareholder demands and supersized executive compensation of US companies. Polaris CEO made $9 mil last year. The top 7 at Polaris pulled down a combined $26.9 mil. That dough has to come from somewhere, oh right, from us consumers. Doh!

We are in the market for a 4 seat sport sxs. I wish they'd make them quieter or had an option for a quiet muffler even if it gave up some performance.

In some of my research, the Tracker 800 gets the nod as one of the quietest out there. I'm not sure where they're made, or if they're just a rebadge of another brand.

That's like me. I see all these people putting race exhaust on and wondering why riding areas are getting closed.

Me, I try and make mine quieter, I don't wanna listen to that all day, LOL

Completely agree. Quieter is more enjoyable to me. I have a stock F-250 crew cab long bed diesel. I have the younger generation constantly asking me if I plan to install a lift kit, change the exhaust or put aggressive tires on it. Heck no! The last thing I want is to have to lift things higher to get them in the bed and climb higher to get into the cab. Then listen to the drone of aggressive tires and a loud exhaust going down the road.

I work at a mine now. You should see the parking lot there, looks like a SEMA show, LOL
Giant rims and rubber bands on every truck with open exhaust, LOL
I don't know how they keep the paint on them driving 50 miles of gravel bush road with the wheels sticking outside the body, LOL

Same here in Nevada. What is it with these young guys and straight pipes (no mufflers)? With the aggressive tires they run I can hear them coming from a mile down the road! Always a Dodge(Ram) Cummins - never hear a Powerstroke or Duramax modded this way.

Last night my wife reminded me (again) how nice it would be to have a golf cart with a bed in the back for getting packages from the gate. Small tires on it so it's as low to the ground as possible. And the most important thing, is that it's quiet!!!

I agree with her. We went for a drive in the Kawasaki Mule earlier in the day and it's great, but it's not as quiet as we would like. We only have 68 acres, so getting around the place in golf cart isn't an issue for us.

I had a Mule SX and got rid of it. Too loud and a rough ride. But it was bullet proof.

I bought a CF Moto Uforce 1000 a few months ago and the only issue is a jerky start. I have been thinking about adding an electric golf cart for putzing around the property. Super quiet and no fuel to deal with. But changing out $600 of batteries every six years needs to be factored in. $100 a year in gas is about 500 miles on a SxS.

I rode in a friends Polaris General the other weekend. It was appreciably quieter than my Yamaha Viking. But it's also more like a car interior, that probably helps dampen noise.

I'm amazed at how smooth of a ride the Viking has though.

My neighbor gave me a "free" Par Car electric golf cart a number of years ago. It was the most expensive free thing I've ever owned, because it needed batteries and a charger. My two young girls wore the snot out of that thing. It was pretty handy though, while it lasted. I don't think you could go wrong with something like an electric Yamaha golf car or utility car. Properly maintaining the batteries is the key, but most come with a pretty advanced charger to help with that.

Since I bought our Viking, I've been finding it really handy to get around our place, even though it's just 6.5 acres. I just loaded it up to head to my deer lease later today to bust pigs for a few days and take a side trip to Ranch Armor in San Antonio to pick up the front and rear bumpers for it.

I was hesitant to buy the Mule back in 2011 because I felt it was something for play more than anything else. But I quickly realized how useful it was when we were all fighting to use it!!!! Nobody drives it for fun, or just to drive around the farm. It's mostly used for getting boxes from the gate, or hauling stuff to the burn pile. I'll keep it, but my next UTV will be an electric golf cart.

Something like this would be ideal.

Wow! That Cushman has a 1600lb payload. Probably doesn't tear up turf either.

I shouldn't have looked up that picture. Now I'm sending messages to dealers to give me a quote on what it costs.
