That's beautiful & I collect & repair old radios. If it's battery power it probably takes an A-B battery, heater filaments low voltage (1.5,3v,) and B+ (90v)for cathodes.
If I know tube numbers I can tell a lot by that and if battery connector has 2 or 3 wires.
Maybe a picture of the backside?

I have a portable travel radio with a large square antenna you pull out and it's battery operated...

I tried to get batteries once and hit s wall... long before the internet...

Been awhile since I posted, thought I'd add a couple pics.

Dad on the L5030 the day it was delivered.

The newest thing being produced is gas. This rig is currently drilling under the farm. fortunately, no pad on the farm, but is on a neighbors farm.

The baler I bought dad last summer, and the bales he did. Not bad for being 93 years old. bale spears bought from titan.

Bringing back this 2017 picture to say we have been in a lawsuit over this well ever since, and it may get settled soon.

In the 80s I bought an antique radio guide book by Martin Bunis. I see books now on Amazon by Marty...probably his son. I called Martin and traded him transistor for tube radios one for one. He would say your Crosley "tombstone" has maximum value because it's complete and in excellent condition. Collectors don't care if it works.
It's possible it works but really needs tubes tested first. Batteries you're better off making a power supply:

Phil's Old Radios

Phil's Old Radios › bsupply

Back then they put up a long wire antenna like this one.

I have one Crosley console AM/SW/78 phono and wife's grandfather's 1920s Atwater Kent 4 tube battery he made from a kit, TRF (pre-superheterodyne).
Ones I collect are mostly 40s-50s and some 60s transistor & phonos.
I have Grandad's SX-42 Hallicrafter SW & bass reflex speaker.

Nice you saved that Crosley!

Found in my diary we rebuilt the 8n engine in 1976. We also cut a lot of locust trees to sell that year.
I know there are pictures of the mine props we used to cut, but haven’t ran across them yet.
Still haven’t found the picture of the piles of mine props we used to cut and sell. This is note to myself to keep looking.

Hope Dennis doesn't mind us messing with his pic. I cropped it a little and increased the pixel size a little. Here's my frameable version.

If you don’t remember the discussion about the boards, I found out from a relative the day the land was auctioned, that it was my aunt taking the boards out of the house, and taking them up north to sell. Apparently there is a market for old boards. My brother was by there last week and reported the new owner is starting to log the land.

Just went back thru the thread, a lot of repeats. And a few tears.

For the radios, you can get multivoltage plug in power supplies instead of batteries.
I had friends growing up that had old HAM battery equipment.
They had plug in harnesses and little cue cards for the voltages on the back of the radios.

Don't think I covered sled riding on the farm. Wish I had pics of our ice skating parties on our pond. In the 70s we got some pretty big snows, and we always had fun sledding down our many hills.

Even though the hill on the road in front of our house was not very big, when it iced up we could go pretty far. This was usually night time sledding here.

We would sled down onto the frozen pond, then shift your weight and go spinning on the ice. Also went down the long hill to the creek below our pond, and sometimes failed to make the turn at the bottom and end up in the creek. Google puts it at over 1000 ft. This is my kids getting to sled at the farm.
