Well still a success inThe level of excitement diminished after it blew up and the screen went blank.
Stage zero survived with little or no damage- MAJOR improvement over launch 1
All booster engines appeared to run the duration, a 1st and reached altitude
Hot staging did take place and Starship did fire it's engines.
They lost heat tiles lots of them... They need those tiles.
Automated FTS was commanded because of data loss of booster,
and then ship @ ~ 10 minutes (Not fully confirmed)
Lots of questions, and More info will eventually to be made public by SpaceX
Also news that parts are being delivered to build another OLM to increase launch cadence.
ps. The starship booster has now set the record (BY FAR) as the most powerful rocket in world history making it to the Karman line ...
SpaceX has already built Over 400 Raptor engines and has now easily surpassed 7 engines built every week.

Good news in my book. If you watch the 1960's era of NASA launches, seems like they all blew up. Of course they all didn't but many did.

Did anyone else notice the shock waves the propagated from the launch pad when all the engines fired up?

Thanks for posting the video. I was impressed with how fast it was going, but even more so in seeing that explosion!!!!!

Just saw a report from Elon that he had examined the launch pad and said that no repairs will be needed before next launch. Water spray and steel plate worked as expected. He said they would be ready to launch again in 3-4 weeks but FAA approval/license would be needed before next launch. FAA states a 'mishap' occurred on the launch of OFT-2 and they need to investigate it before issuing approval/license for OFT-3.
