Tractor
Cub Cadet 782D, Hinomoto E15
I ask as I have been unable to find one of the old tandem axle Snowco trailers that will haul 2 garden tractors nose to tail and is narrower than a car hauler or current landscaper trailers designed for big deck ztr mowers. I'm hauling a Cub Cadet 782D and a Hinomoto E14, which is about the size of a super GT. I need the narrower width like my 4x8 tilt bed, but longer with twin axles to haul both tractors.

There are small shops on ever corner around here building trailers. I would ask one of them if they will build what you need.

I wish we had that locally. We used to have Nomanco trailers here in Indiana, but messages, emails and so forth have gone unanswered. They would custom build to order. No luck yet. Here is one of the old Snowco ads. I need the one with the two golf carts on it. Rather not have the fold up gate though, but ramps that stow under the main deck. But if one of these old Snowco trailers popped up, I would buy it. Seen a couple nice single axle ones, But I need the longer tandam axle to haul both tractors at the same time.

Same here in SC. The place I got my trailer from builds quite a lot of custom trailers.

Many years ago - a small business about ten miles south of Spokane. The fellow specialized in custom flat beds for pickups and trucks. He would also build you a custom trailer. Many times I wish I had bought a frame only truck and had a custom flat bed built.

Felling trailers in Sauk Centre Minnesota used to build customs. Not sure if they still do or not. They might have moved on to the big stuff now.

I used to build custom trailers in my backyard. It was a side hobby for me, as I also worked a full time job. Made some good money doing it, but when the machine shop I was working for closed, I lost the huge discount on steel purchases and decided I could do other things with less work.

Have you considered a snowmobile trailer? Here's a fancy aluminum one but you may find something suitable:

Snowmobile trailers are to wide and I do not want a deck over design. I want something like the old Snowco tandem axle job, just wide enough on the deck for a golf cart and long enough for 2 of those nose to tail. That will give me the width I want and the length for our two tractors to go to shows and plow days.

Around here, welding shops will build any kind of trailer you want.

How far are you willing to travel to get one?
Or a better question, where are you located?
Maybe add it to your profile?
There is a custom builder 18 miles from me but if you live beside the Hinomoto Tractor factory in japan I can't help you. :)

If you want to go "custom", then write up the specs you want.

  • Length x Width of bed
  • Weight Capacity
  • Frame material (steel/aluminum)
  • Bed material (2x6 or 2x8 or 2x12, plywood, metal, expanded metal, etc)
  • Bed Design (flatbed, open tracks, side rails, etc).
  • Tires and Wheels. Tandem, Dually, Triple, etc
  • Ramp Design. Or alternatively drop flat to ground for loading.
  • Tie Down Points and types
  • Etc.

Then start contacting shops.

Even if you have to drive from Indiana to Texas to pick up the trailer, that would be a 1 or 2 day drive, and wouldn't be the end of the world,.

Also consider how your needs will evolve over time. So, make it to exactly fit your two tractors, and then you have problems if you buy a bigger tractor.

I love my little 4x8 Haulin flatbed. But, it is small for most of my needs. So, now I have a flatbed utility trailer that is 8'6" wide. What a pain to tow. But, it does most of what I need, except for hauling equipment heavier than about 8,000 lbs.

I see Felling trailers all over the place up here. They have a good rep!

Look at BNM Trailer Sales in Elsie, Michigan, east of St Johns, Mi. I have 2 of their standard trailers, but the second on was customized for my needs. Taller sides, heavier axles, special paint job, etc. Contact Us | BNM Trailers Sales, Inc.

Another thought is finding an appropriate size boat trailer and adding a deck.
There are lots of long skinny boat trailers around.
Finding a used one would be a lot cheaper than a custom build, but would require some fabrication work.
As a bonus you may be able to score something galvanized
