Good (Monday) morning. Overnight Low of 8.9C and it's presently 19.5C, partly cloudy and the wind has abated to an odd breeze.

The 'Mad Agisting Horse Woman' collected her horse from Paddock #1 yesterday arvo. So, later on, I'll clean up the few 'droppings' & tidy up the paddock. She's got her horses over at another property IOT give my paddocks a rest for a month or so. Hopefully the grass starts really growing now that it's officially Spring.

I'm also doing a couple loads of dhobi. I may head into town to the Post Office as some wine has been delivered.

That's about it, take care all.

Took the day off from all chores and projects. Been a long time since I have done that.

We are about to get reacquainted with the Texas mosquito alright. The lack of rain has kept them in check.
Walmart had high Deet Cutter brand on clearance, also bought a small bug zapper, says it is good for 1/2 acre. They had that marked down from $33 down to $23.

Ouch! No fun. Hurts when a breeze hits you if bad enough. Not sure about now, but it used to be the dentist wouldn't work on it while abscessed. They would prescribe antibiotics and come back 3-4 days later.

rip, glad you had a nice hot date, and a day off. Sushi looks good, but I prefer mine cooked. I don't eat raw oysters either. Flesh eating virus.

Got double church today, plus a lengthy conversation with my wife and family about changing churches. I'm torn, they aren't.

It got up to 95F today, plus humidity. Not as hot as compared to 109F. Looks like mid 95ish all week, and low to no rain chances. I might need to mow down some weeds. I can see hints of green in my bermuda grass already. I believe we got about an inch Saturday afternoon. Need more rain. Mainly to keep our town's water supply from stage V restrictions. I've been trying to not waste water. They allow grass watering on certain days, twice a week, but we are not supposed to wash our cars. ??? Maybe if I park the car on top of the lawn, and then water the lawn while I scrub the car? No wasted water. All my vehicles need a bath.

The more I research the transmission, the more complicated it gets. So many similar models and generations of this type of tranny. Each with differences. Lots of special tools and electronic equipment they recommend to troubleshoot and assemble.

Have a zoom conference at work at 8 am in the morning. After that, going to pickup stuff ordered at Lowes.

G'nite all! except wagtail G'morning

Prayers for our team, our country, and Ukraine.

good morning all
65 degrees in light rain, wet morning, wet drive, but just going to take my time.
headed to Georgetown DE around 9am

Rip, if you ate that whole thing, I can imagine taking the rest of the day off........ ;)
looks like an advertisement for a high end restaurant

Ron, pretty sure you can slice those fungi off, soak them in water, and eat them.
I have some too. You go first.
but I still think mushrooms are like snakes, hard to know when to trust them

have a nice day everyone

if any of you folks like using amendments in your veggie gardens, going to put in a plug
for my goddaughters's husband's company worm products. I used their worm bag in NC and it worked fine.
But now they sell the worm castings all by themselves, like super food for garden.
could be a nice Christmas present for a gardening wife

as seen on TBN!........

60 outside this AM, heading to upper 70's. 92% humidity.

All I did yesterday was eat and chill with the family. Two of three daughters met at our favorite eatery that we have adopted. LOL. Been going there for over a decade. One of the few all you can eat Sushi places for a decent price. And the service is always very good.

Have another plumber lined up this AM for an estimate on the Milk House rough in and hookups to water and septic.

Need to call the dealer on the MX, new belt and how-to get the darn thing back on it. It is a belt, darn it. Should not be hard. I am missing something.

May get to some more vinyl on the Milk House. Gable areas are still undone. Recall I was taking a chimney out of one side.

Hope all have a great start to the week. Be safe.

thanks Rip.

wow, here we go again, and only fifteen miles away from the last criminal that got loose.
I just got a big invite from Longwood Gardens to c'mon back, they just opened after Calvacante hid out there for days.
and now more crooks on the loose. Riot in prison.
these young people will not win any good citizen awards.
instead they will spend much more time eating bad food.

those mushrooms are a work of art

Good Morning!

God has given us another chance to get it right (or at least not screw up too badly).

A very refreshing 50.0F, going to low 70s, sunny all day. Front pushed through yesterday and everything cleared up by 1PM, nice weather the rest of the day.

Mrs.’ Doll project advances, and today we will be donating 30 to a local Assisted Living facility that specializes in patients with memory-loss issues. Then some other admin stuff in town. Before all that, while waiting for it to warm up outside enough for Mrs. To actually want to leave the house, I can fire up the new chainsaw and try to reduce the log pile a bit… then later in the day split up the rest of the pine rounds and get that stacked and marked “26/27” in bold spray paint. There were a bunch of really pitchy pieces that we put off to the side, I am going to let them bake on the blacktop and break them down for kindling and tinder.

I hope everyone has a happy healthy safe productive blessed day!
