How hot is it?

Finally some relief. It's 69* here now. Dewpoints have come down a good bit so there isn't much heat index the last 2 days.
It has been a brutal summer. Our local weather man said we have broken every heat record in the book this summer.

I hope the summer heat isn't the new normal.

The drought up here is affecting the Mississippi River water levels. They are already limiting the weights that the barges can carry which is not good news. We will be coming up on harvesting time with limited ways to ship the goods.

Still hot down here. Dewpoints have climbed back up into the mid 70's.

That puts heat index up around 102 to 104. I'm ready for winter and some low's in the 50's and highs in the 70's
